The Sam’s Club Design team creates experiences and designs the websites, tools, and mobile solutions for millions of members and associates. As a part of a Design team that is at the forefront of retail, you will be responsible for building best-in-class experiences that drive continuous improvement. As a Senior Content Designer, you’ll create content that is purposeful, clear, compelling, on-brand and consistent. You’ll collaborate with design, product and business partners to shape products and foster inclusive member and associate experiences with your artful use of voice, content best practices and end-to-end content strategies. What you’ll do

· Distill complex problems into easy to understand experiences

· Create and champion the highest quality content, helping to drive the development of foundational tools, frameworks and resources

· Shape an inclusive associate experience that is on-brand and aligns with content best practices as well as end-to-end UX strategies

· Grow your strengths in storytelling to present your vision and product design rationale in a compelling, convincing manner to the broader team.

· Contribute to the evolution of the UX design systems, content style guides and processes to enable the team to scale efficiently and effectively

You’ll sweep us off our feet if you have...

· 5+ years working as a UX Writer, Content Strategist, Content Designer, or a relevant field.

· A recognized strong writing background that blends brand voice and design experience principles.

· Experience in retail or transactional products.

· Strong understanding of user needs such as motivations and behaviors, with the ability to translate them into engaging and actionable UX copy.

· An eye for details and taking the complex and make it simple.

· A strong foundation of content design and UX writing principles and practices.

· Ability to produce great work in short timeframe and adapt to the ever-changing priorities of the business.

· A self-starter mindset who is well organized and always looking to improve things.

You’ll make an impact by:

· Designing best-in-class content experiences with a focus on craft and compelling writing.

· Developing a deep understanding of the Sam’s Club brand voice and how our members and associates speak.

· Multitasking across different projects and adapting to changing priorities.

· Communicating effectively with empathy and respect.

· Collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional partners.

· Staying up to date with the latest trends, in and out of retail.

Preferred qualifications:

· Degree in Communications, Journalism, Tech Writing, UX, HCI or similar and at least 5+ years of experience in product design (not product marketing).

· A portfolio with UX case studies showcasing your craft, impact and collaborative process

· Experience participating in peer reviews and working within a critic culture

· Excellent written and verbal communication.

You will also receive PTO and/or PPTO that can be used for vacation, sick leave, holidays, or other purposes. The amount you receive depends on your job classification and length of employment. It will meet or exceed the requirements of paid sick leave laws, where applicable.

About the Role

The Staff, Interactive Content Partnerships will report to the Director, Interactive Content Partnerships. You’ll manage a mix of strategic and operational projects working cross-functionally across multiple departments throughout Walmart (e.g. leadership, product, design, engineering) and with external content partners to drive forward category-defining initiatives.

We are looking for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategic partnerships, product management and creative product operations. You should be a self-starter, be comfortable breaking the status quo, know how to leverage associative thinking, can think big, and is an excellent written and oral communicator.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Driving strategic workstreams , including but not limited to:
    • Supporting the director in scaling interactive content through strategic content partners.
    • Partnering closely with product teams to develop strategies for new workstreams .
    • Driving multiple elements of strategic development for new content strategies, including the development of business cases (opportunity sizing) and business requirement documents (BRDs).
    • Serving as a SME for interactive item page content by monitoring, analyzing, and reporting the external market.
  • Overseeing innovation operations , including but not limited to:
    • Developing scaling and rollout plans.
    • Conducting day to day relationship management with external vendors.
    • Developing, structuring, and reporting OKRs and KPIs for owned initiatives to senior leaders, in partnership with analytics partners.
