Your key responsibilities:

This in-house role includes:

Commercial:

  • Advising on, drafting and negotiating client contracts, such as engagement agreements Master Services Agreements and Global Framework Agreements with our clients as well as other complex contractual arrangements pursuant to which we provide an ever more diverse range of services
  • Technology, Software and Licensing agreements
  • Advising on intellectual property matters
  • Subcontracts, where EY is subcontractor
  • Collaboration agreements
  • Managed services and outsourcing agreements
  • Government and public sector agreements
  • Advising on tenders and RFP responses
  • Advising on, drafting and negotiating contracts with suppliers

Regulatory:

  • Advising on data privacy, AI, DORA and regulatory matters.

General:

  • Providing legal advice to the firm’s service lines and its other internal support functions such as real estate and facilities, procurement, finance, HR, IT, knowledge and marketing, providing training and guidance to service line colleagues on legal and contractual issues, developing contract templates, policies and guidance and the opportunity to be the legal lead on firm-wide projects.

You will:

  • Provide strategic and tactical compliance counsel to Dell’s Global Trade Compliance organization and other key business stakeholders on legal and compliance risks to ensure internal compliance processes and procedures fulfill applicable trade regulatory requirements.
  • Drive Dell’s efforts to prevent diversion into restricted regions in EMEA and globally.
  • Lead, perform, or support investigations of alleged violations of law, applicable Dell policies, Dell's Code of Conduct or Dell's Partner Code of Conduct.
  • Draft and implement relevant legal compliance contract templates, Letters of Assurance, and third-party engagement letters to ensure the company's full legal rights and to protect Dell.
  • Keep abreast of legislative changes and provides practical insights on application of these new laws to Dell's competition and trade compliance program andAssist in the annual review of compliance training materials, policies, standards and other program materials.


Essential Requirements

  • Qualified to practice law in at least one European Membership jurisdiction required
  • 4-6 years legal experience in trade compliance or other regulatory compliance area, internal investigations and risk mitigation issues in a global business and/or law firm
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with practical application of various trade compliance requirements and/or substantial experience with other regulatory compliance areas and a strong desire to become a trade expert
  • Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive and/or proactive strategies; ability to anticipate legal compliance issues or risks and to “see around the corner”
