Key Responsibilities
Risk Appetite & Limits: Own the global liquidity risk appetite (e.g., survival horizon, stressed outflows, liquidity buffers, EWIs). Set/approve limits; track breaches and remediation
Independent Challenge of 1LOD: Review and challenge cash-flow forecasting, funding strategy, investment liquidity, partner-bank/PSP arrangements, andsafeguarding/segregationof customer funds
Contingency Readiness: Oversee Contingency Funding Plans and liquidity playbooks; test triggers, options, and execution drills; ensure recovery/resolution alignment where relevant.
Intraday & Settlement Liquidity: Challenge intraday monitoring, settlement exposures, andpayment-rail/clearingrisks; ensure controls for cross-border and multi-currency flows.
Metrics, Data, and Reporting: Drive high-quality, automated liquidity MI and dashboards; ensure data lineage and reproducibility; deliver concise insights to senior management and Board Risk.
Governance & Escalation: Strengthen forums, challenge papers, issue management, and timely escalation of emerging liquidity risks.
Provide 2LOD challenge on ALM/IRRBB, FX exposures from balance-sheet flows and hedging, and investment portfolio risk.
Review sensitivity, stress, and limit frameworks; monitor breaches and remediation; ensure governance alignment with liquidity priorities.
Own 2LOD prudential standards for APAC/LATAM entities (e.g., ILAAP/ICAAP or local equivalents) with emphasis on liquidity adequacy, documentation, and governance.
Supervisory Engagement: Act as senior 2LOD contact for exams/thematics; manage submissions, findings, and commitments to closure.
Regulatory Change: Maintain an obligations inventory; assess impact; drive timely, well-controlled implementation across entities.
Mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing team of risk professionals.
Qualifications
10–15+ years in liquidity risk, treasury risk, asset/liability management with substantial 2LOD or supervisory experience
Deep expertise in liquidity measurement (forecasting, stress testing, buffers, contingency planning,safeguarding/segregation)and governance.
Proven leadership of ILAAP/ICAAP (or local equivalents) and Board-level risk reporting.
Experience engaging regulators in EMEA and at least one of APAC or LATAM.
Exceptional communication—able to translate complex analysis into clear, executive-ready narratives.
Payments/fintech or e-money background; partner-bank/PSP arrangements; settlement and intraday liquidity.
Data/analytics fluency (e.g., SQL/Python) to validate results and enhance MI.
Hands-on, pragmatic working style that adapts withorganizational needs
