What you will accomplish:

• Take to market extraordinary, industry-leading, user-centered designs that solve for customer needs, deliver on business requirements, account for technical feasibility and leverage future trends.

• Contribute to the creative direction of eBay’s suite of seller tools , working with other design leaders to create a compelling and cohesive ecosystem for sellers across the product portfolio.

• Coach and lead product discovery activities and drive the strategic direction of the product experience with partners, including researchers, product managers, engineers and executives.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in interaction design, HCI, industrial design, graphic design, visual communications or equivalent experience and +10 years of professional experience in Product Design, with +5 years of experience leading Product Designers.

• Outstanding portfolio demonstrating a broad range of product design work across web-based applications, consumer experiences, and native mobile applications

• Experience driving product design for end-to-end user-experiences and a strong understanding of user-centered design processes with agile, cross-functional teams

• Hand-on experience in zero-to-one , new product and concept development, including generative research, storyboarding, user-journey mapping, competitive analysis, prototyping, qualitative feedback and quantitative testing.

• Ability to synthesize

• Contribute to product design and UX for eBay Live seller experiences, focusing on onboarding, event setup, inventory, and post-sale workflows.

• Apply advanced mastery of Figma and prototyping tools to create, iterate, and hand off interactive design assets and user flows.

• Help develop and refine design concepts based on research and feedback from sellers, in close partnership with content and research peers.

• Lead the product strategy and roadmap for improving upper funnel experience on search

• Be a strategic problem solver and able to synthesize data from multiple sources (including analytics, user research, marketing research, and design) to identify key customer unmet needs, key solutions that can address the needs and build product vision with search item tiles

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for coordinating the design, development, and implementation of software solutions. This role combines technical expertise with leadership skills to guide a team of developers, ensure outstanding deliverables, and drive the successful completion of projects. Candidates must have in-depth software development expertise, proven ability to deliver complex solutions, hands-on experience with Java and GCP, and capability to lead a small engineering team autonomously.

• Architect, design, develop and test complex, multi-tier distributed Warehouse Management System software systems

• Lead architecture discussions, develop well-documented design docs, and facilitate development and code reviews ensuring alignment with industry standards

• Work with product managers, collaborators, and cross-functional teams to build software solutions that fulfill functional and non-functional needs, establish project plans and deliverables

• Estimate engineering effort, plan execution cycles, and roll out system changes

What You Bring to the Team

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 8+ years of experience or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 7+ years of hands-on experience in building large-scale distributed systems

• Strong expertise in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React

• Strong expertise in designing and developing REST API

• Extensive hands-on experience and expertise in object-oriented design methodology and application development using Java/J2EE and Kotlin, including frameworks such as Spring Boot

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly in Google Cloud Run and deployment pipelines

• Deep understanding of SQL Databases, with an emphasis on Postgres. Familiarity with tuning systems, architecture, thread management, and problem analysis
