As our nextyou'll be responsible for assembling and inspecting products and following Standardize Work Instructions. All work must be done in a safe and efficient manner and comply with all Johnson Electric's International’s Health & Safety policies, procedures and quality systems. Working knowledge with SPS, 5S and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities are required.

Follow Standardized Work Instructions (SWI) to ensure jobs are completed properly.
Assemble products prior to being loaded in furnaces
Load and unload products on and off furnaces
Unload presses
Perform visual inspections on parts for quality assurance
Use and interpret designated measuring systems to inspect parts according to process sheet requirements
Recognize, identify and report burrs, chips, cracks, consistent defects or process changes
Read and interpret process sheets
Understand and follow procedures for traceability tags
Identify and report safety hazards (i.e. natural gas smell, oil/water spills)
Achieve required production numbers
Maintain 5S within designated work area and/or cell
Ensure that the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health & Safety Systems are met.
Other duties as required.
High School diploma or equivalent
Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset, but not required
Able to use and accurately interpret designated measuring systems for parts inspection, according to process sheet requirements.
Able to demonstrate thorough understanding of process sheets and is able to follow consistently.
Understand and follow traceability procedures. Familiar with specific products and their process requirements.
Demonstrate acceptable level of safety, attendance, quality and production
Basic mathematical skills required with particular emphasis on accuracy
Able to work well independently or in a team environment
Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment while maintaining quality
Proficient in English (both spoken and written)
Work indoors. Environment can be noisy with variable temperatures (i.e. extreme heat)
Lifting is required. No more than 50lbs and assistance is available if needed
Work shifts may include days, afternoons, nights or continental
Able to work overtime when required/requested
Continual standing, walking, reaching and bending
Work in a fast pace manufacturing environment
• Experience with SPS, 5S, or Continuous Improvement activities
• Previous experience handling hazardous waste in an industrial setting

The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $75,600 to $113,400. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.

As our next, you’ll be at the forefront of managing resources to successfully complete all required maintenance activities. Your expertise in leadership, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement will be crucial in supporting production requirements and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.

• Experience with metal forming, pressing, machining, and automation equipment
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
• Computer literacy across multiple applications
• Excellent leadership, team building, motivational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication at all organizational levels
• High integrity, dependability, and results orientation
• Proven experience managing external contractors for facility and equipment projects
• Knowledge of facility contracts and cost optimization strategies
