Network Perimeter – Team Lead jobs at Wix in Israel, Tel Aviv-yafo

As a Network Perimeter Team Lead, you’ll play a key role in managing our network perimeter and security infrastructure, primarily focusing on security components like PaloAlto, F5, Cloud solutions (GCP and AWS), and infrastructure automation. In this leadership position, you will be responsible for leading a team of network perimeter engineers, overseeing the development and implementation of on-prem and cloud-based solutions, and ensuring the security, reliability and scalability of Wix infrastructure. In your day to day, you will:

• Lead and manage a team of network perimeter engineers while mentoring and coaching team members to develop their skills and knowledge

• Take full ownership of all Wix network perimeter environments, continuously improving our offering to the Wix organization, including designing, building and implementing solutions based on security and company requirements

• Develop and implement infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform and Ansible

• Monitor domain SLA’s and optimize network security, resilience and cost

• Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth operation and integration of infrastructure, and proactively communicate progress and blockers

• Identify and implement new technologies and solutions to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability

• Recruit top talented developers to our group.
• Mentor and advise the team in code review, pair-programming and more.
• See the big picture of group tasks in order to make the best decisions about priorities.
• Share knowledge between your team and other teams in the group.

• Research, identify, evaluate and implement the best solutions for security in Wix’s production environment
• Research, identify, evaluate and implement the best solutions for the platform code and services used by our developers
• Work closely with development and system teams on all SDLC levels, performing security design reviews, threat modeling and penetration tests, while acting as a security mentor for developers
• Investigate abnormal activity in production
• Build creative tools and services to detect and solve cross-security issues

• Manage and complete tasks using TDD, continuous integration and modern development processes

As an engineer in the Bazel team, you’ll:

• Build and maintain tooling that helps our developers build and deliver code faster

• Build, and maintain highly scalable backend services providing unique CI/CD experiences to support Wix’s backend code.

• Work as a part of the Bazel OSS community, participate in discussions and workgroups and help shape itself

• Lead a team of talented engineers, providing support, guidance, and growth opportunities

• Own the team roadmap together with the product manager, researching, planning, prioritizing, and allocating resources for each year

• Work closely with relevant stakeholders (PM, UX, Product Designer), and other groups

• Recruit and mentor new employees, ensuring successful onboarding

• Maintain a high level of technical proficiency for the team
