Job Description

The Lube Department (Back End Process) team is looking for a highly motivated technician willing to contribute at the highest level. We seek someone who demonstrates the desire to learn various technical and process areas and can bring creative ideas and solutions to technical challenges. We are also looking for their commitment to provide hands-on support for sample handling, troubleshooting, tool upgrades, installation, data logging and assisting engineers during experimental runs or tool modifications. The working environment is in R&D mode which required frequent process tuning together with the need for engineering evaluations. They also need to perform daily tool checks and recipe verification, ensuring tool readiness to meet the NPI planning, ensuring real-time monitoring and a good update on changes, immediate action on any deviations and minimizing risks of scrap and rework.

  • Proficiency in preventive maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, and repair of equipment.
  • Competent in interpreting technical schematics, equipment manuals, process flows and blueprints.
  • Proficient with precision measurement tools (e.g., FTIR and OSA), calibration fixtures, and digital/computerized maintenance systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC controls (e.g., Mitsubishi) and basic automation principles.
  • Solid computer literacy, which includes the ability to troubleshoot basic software and hardware issues, skill in managing file organization, version control and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Solid working knowledge of AutoCAD would be an added advantage.
  • Familiar with adjusting operation and maintaining back-end process tools.
  • Proficiency in monitoring and react on the process parameters (e.g. pull rate, dwell time, exposure time, load force, etc.).
  • Accurately document production data, process trends, and evaluation results.
  • Collaborate with engineers on process improvement initiatives and new process trials.
  • Comply with safety, chemical handling and cleanroom protocols.
Qualifications

Diploma or Technical Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent)

Job Description for MRE Engineering Technician

  • Perform all types of DET Guzik & QMT test
  • Ensure no delay in DET testing and that the test results are available on time
  • Buyoff measurement result is shown consistent and stable to meet Test Criteria
  • Compile and upload data to Online SPC timely to meet expected Test TAT
  • Continuously update all test request and other necessary tracking
  • Receive from previous shift and pass down information to next shift clearly
  • Perform head change whenever required
  • Perform tester conversion buyoff and tester troubleshooting
  • Support data package compilation for NPI, SMO, Time Slice and by request.
  • Support reference & head issuance and inventory management
  • Support reference generates and head screening activities
  • Perform and maintain MRE lab 7S and follow all safety and health rules
  • Carry out all jobs/tasks as assigned by Engineers
  • PN1-PN2 cross plants travelling to support whenever required
  • Able to work in cleanroom environment and rotating shift pattern 12 hourly
  • Able to support different shift and work location as assigned
Qualifications

  • Proficient in MS Windows Software (Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook). Macro in excel would be an added advantage

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance per PM schedule. Conduct routine maintenance checks and services on all production equipment.
  • Document routine preventive maintenance on PM checklists, record data if applicable and maintain completed checklist/history in tool maintenance system.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance on production machine to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
  • Document routine preventive maintenance and unscheduled failures details on system database
  • Provide inputs to Shift Coordinator or Equipment Engineer to improve PM cycle-time, tool availability, quality/workmanship, reduce media scrap and cost of ownership.
  • Provide Technical training and certification for junior technician.
  • Support Tool Owner and Equipment Engineer for machine conversion/upgrade and improvement projects.

REQUIRED:

  • Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent
  • Working experience in manufacturing environment (especially in vacuum chamber system) is required.
  • Working experiences in Sputtering or machine maintenance related field would be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of control systems and/or PLC (Process Logic Control) would be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in using measurement tools such as multi meters, oscilloscope, etc.
