ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, test, integrate and maintain quality firmware for eHDD using best practices like unit test, CI and Agile methodologies.
• Design and implementation of data structures, software algorithms, data path, and drivers for hardware cores using latest standards C++ and Python.
• Participate in significant technical investigations from problem statement to conclusions.
• Creates design documents pertinent to the various phases of firmware development.
• Devise strategies for in-depth functionality and compatibility testing of complex drive features.

REQUIRED:

• Current student, pursuing Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge in C, Object-oriented programming (e.g. C++, Python), Data Structure, Algorithms. Multi-threaded programming.
• Ability to rapidly learn new technologies, complex code.
• Capable of quickly learning new firmware, hardware, systems, tools, and methodologies.

Training Development & Administration

• Develop and administer engaging Ethics & Compliance training programs (online and instructor-led) for a diverse, global workforce.
• Create SCORM-compliant eLearning modules using Articulate software (Storyline, Rise).
• Upload and test SCORM modules to ensure LMS compatibility and functionality.
• Maintain training records and generate reports on completion metrics and learner performance.
• Monitor LMS data integrity, troubleshoot issues, and resolve data inconsistencies.
• Perform administrative support for instructor-led training, including session scheduling, material prep, attendance logging, post-training assessments, and coordinating logistics (travel, venues, AV/IT).
• Provide technical and end-user support for the LMS and field training-related inquiries from global stakeholders.

Communications & Multimedia Content Creation

• Develop and manage internal communications promoting Ethics & Compliance initiatives, tailored for a global and culturally diverse workforce.
• Create visually compelling content including posters, slides, banners, handouts, podcasts, and videos (animated and live action).
• Produce creative assets to support various Ethics & Compliance campaigns and cross-functional Legal projects.
• Lead small video production projects, including storyboarding, filming, and editing content featuring employees.
• Design and maintain the Ethics & Compliance SharePoint site, including content management and creation of digital assets.
• Support translation and localization of training and communication materials for regional relevance and accessibility.

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Instructional Design, Learning & Development, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in corporate communications, instructional design, compliance training, or related role.
• Proficiency with Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft 365, and video editing tools.
• Experience managing Learning Management Systems (e.g., Workday Learning, Cornerstone).
• Strong project management, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
• Experience supporting global or multicultural audiences is strongly preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct internal ethics and compliance investigations globally, primarily in APAC. Assume responsibility for all phases of the investigation cycle, including intake, investigation plans, collect, data/documents review and analysis, witness interviews, factual findings, report writing and maintaining accurate records to properly document investigations.
• Advise the Company on internal investigations findings and provide input for disciplinary and remedial actions to be taken based on the findings.
• Help provide periodic updates to the Company’s management team concerning ethics and compliance concerns, and data and trends regarding compliance culture.
• Support quarterly reporting of Ethics and Compliance data to Board of Directors, Audit Committee, company leadership, and business units.
• Assist with training and communication initiatives related to Western Digital’s “Speak Up” culture and non-retaliation policy, including quarterly all-employee communications, annual online compliance training, and post-investigation leadership communications as needed.
• Analyze ethics and compliance investigations data (including root causes) to determine relevant trends and areas of compliance risk, and recommend effective modes of training, communication, and controls enhancements to address same.
• Assist with preparation and escalation of root cause reports and remediation plans to ensure cross-functional follow-through on remediation recommendations for preventing future misconduct or other issues.
• Address reports filed in the Company’s Ethics Helpline and partner with People Solutions and other investigative functions across the Company to ensure timely responses to all concerns raised on the Ethics Helpline and other reporting channels.
• Help conduct periodic Ethics Helpline testing and non-retaliation monitoring, including determining appropriate action to address findings and reporting to Lead Investigations Counsel.

REQUIRED:

• Qualified or licensed to practice law in relevant jurisdiction, CFE or background in investigative audit is highly desirable.
• Undergraduate degree in law, accounting, finance, or relevant field with a strong academic record.
• Minimum of 5-6 years professional experience with compliance investigations. Specifically, ethics and compliance matters, fraud investigations, procurement improprieties, internal or external investigative audit, and related experience.
• Experience conducting and managing document reviews and electronic discovery, creating, and following investigations plans, conducting witness interviews, and preparing investigation reports.
• A keen eye for detail, excellent organizational and analytical skills, and a demonstrated record of cross-functional collaboration and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Integrity, professionalism and a keen understanding of the sensitivity and confidentiality of the work is a must.
• Professional presence, excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, and experience delivering crisp, clear executive presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to be proactive and manage multiple projects simultaneously and focus on critical priorities.
• Strong work ethic and ability to produce high quality work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in a global environment and sensitivity to and an understanding of cultural differences around the globe.
