Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead as HR partner for the local leadership team and provide site HR support to the location
  • Facilitate and encourage communication between local office and Regional HQ through providing translation support to team members during meetings
  • Review translated documents received from translation vendor for accuracy
  • Prioritize, setup and own all local employee life-cycle related processes; engage the relevant regional HR subject matter expert as needed
  • Process/Upload monthly payroll through payroll vendor in a timely and accurate manner
  • Collaborate with regional recruiting team to fulfil local hiring needs effectively
  • Provide guidance on HR policies and ensure that policies are up to date per local legislations
  • Track and ensure that all mandatory training modules (corporate and local) are completed timely
  • Liaise with HR Shared Services team to ensure data accuracy and integrity on the HRIS; manage all employee personal files and data maintenance activities
  • Drive adoption and utilization of the Learning Management System
  • Responsible for office and facility management related activities in areas including but not limited to:
    1. Coordination of travel-related logistics for visitors
    2. Lead and manage the EHS Specialist and Janitor in ensuring that employees have a conducive and safe environment to work in
  • Stay abreast of market/industry developments that will potentially affect the HR strategies; proactively provide such market intelligence to the relevant stakeholders
  • Lead and/or participate HR related projects
  • Other duties as assigned
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in human resource management, legal or related field required
Work Experience
  • Minimum 5-8 years of related work experience in an MNC environment; with at least 3 years of people management experience
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Familiarity with workplace laws, regulations, employment trends, strong understanding of labor law, collective agreements, unions and works councils.
  • Work effectively under pressure whilst not compromising professional standards.
  • Can work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Objective, approachable and able to interact effectively with all levels of employees both in person and virtually in a positive and respectful manner.
  • Strong communication both written and oral.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive issues and handling sensitive confidential data to meet data privacy compliance requirements.
  • Experience with cases management system to record accurate and timely case updates for management information purposes.
  • Producing high quality documentation including reports, letters, meeting notes, etc.
  • Work with minimum of supervision.
  • Ability to respond internal employee hotline and workflow concerns in partnership with the ERM and local HR leadership.
  • Self-Organization, time management and prioritization.
License and Certifications
  • Human Resources\SHRM-SCP preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be the trusted advisor through providing consultative and strategic advice that assists in the attainment of customer's goals
  • Lead and manage the sales team(including internal stakeholders)through on-boarding, coaching and development to meet overall business and sales objectives
  • Achieve overall segment sales and revenue targets through developing annual business plans and sales strategy that are aligned to the overall Company’s sales strategy
  • Establish, develop, and maintain high level strategic relationships with key stakeholders at major key accounts to drive the sales of products and solutions
  • In partnership with the General Manager, assist in the development and securing of large/strategic sales opportunities
  • Drive CRM adoption rate and data integrity within the team
  • Support the sales team to achieve the segment’s business plan by conducting pipeline reviews on a regular basis
  • Work in conjunction with other internal sales resources to develop the segment’s business plans to maximize revenue
  • Bridge the voice of the customer between field sales and the support functions and ensure strong customer support for the key accounts in the segment
  • Oversee and manage aftersales selling activities (e.g. new product launch, account assignment, ongoing customer needs)
  • Leverage on Technical Customer Support team to provide technical product training to key customers
  • Contribute and support the General Manager in the annual strategic planning process
  • Other relevant duties and projects as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree in Bioscience, Biochemical. Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical or equivalent. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10-12 years of relevant B2B technical sales experience in industries that require a high degree of technical knowledge and regulatory requirements with at least10years of relevant experience incommercial (sales)team leadership and people management
  • Prior technical knowledge of relevant products preferred
  • Proven track record in ability to drive for accountability in team through proactive engagement, providing of guidance and building resilience in sales team to achieve the overall sales target.
  • Bilingual in English and Korean languages; Strong communicator both verbally and written.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Exhibits deep understanding of business, financials, products and services, the market and the needs or challenges of assigned accounts; is recognized as an expert in many areas
  • Exhibit strong competency in sales process and strategic account planning by regularly achieving business results that accurately mirror or exceed forecast
  • Ability to strategically prioritize and suitably adapt and improve on sales team’s strategic approach as and when necessary to focus on high value and likely to win opportunities/accounts
  • Demonstrates knowledge of market segment, trends and internal customer issues that may influence a customer's priorities, tactics, and business approaches. Remains current on competitors, new technology and regulatory issues to maintain West’s scientific leadership position in the market
  • Anticipates risks and devises contingency plans to meet them. Understands situation from many perspectives and makes decisions accordingly.
  • Resourceful and is comfortable in navigating through internal resources by collaborating cross-functionally and can utilize resources effectively.
  • Understands customer needs and able to leverage on both West product portfolio and internal resources to identify cross-selling opportunities to create additional value to customers and maximize Company’s sales revenue
  • Demonstrated high quality decision making, planning and organizing and drive for results
  • Projects credible executive image with polish and poise. Ability to handles questions well in highly visible and adversarial situations.
