In this role, you will:

  • Work with origination teams across multiple locations, reviewing complex deal structure, legal and ancillary documents for operational compatibility across our Bilateral, Participation and Agency lending portfolios, ensuring compliance with the bank’s internal policies and guidelines.

  • Coordinate with the Lines of Business, Loans Administration and Agency teams regarding all aspects of new and ongoing documentation issues.

  • Have oversight of deal builds in Loan IQ and production of deal overview sheets for Loans / Agency teams, & approval of same when completed by lower level team members.

  • Provide assistance to relationship manager in execution and closure of transactions.

  • Ensure all compliance related requirements are completed for each new transactions and clients (KYC + any other documents required internally).

  • Answering ad-hoc syndicate, borrower and internal queries.

  • Regularly update and maintain internal databases and management information systems.

  • Complete internal procedures as required to set up clients for specific products, ensuring all procedures comply with government regulations and company policies.

  • Liaise with various internal departments (esp. credit control department and back office) to ensure smooth transactions execution, booking and reporting.

  • Manage the timely collection and distribution of financial information and related correspondence to syndicate lenders.

  • Keep the Head of Loan Onboarding team abreast of on-going issues and escalation points.

  • Support the teams focus on continuous improvement and challenge the status quo.

  • Assist is the control framework completion & roll out across the London Loan Operations team

  • Assist/lead/represent

  • Keep up-to-date with industry changes affecting loan documentation and product via the LMA/LSTA websites and attendance to relevant seminars.

Required Experience:

  • Extensive experience in reviewing, facilitating and managing new and revised Loan Facility documentation with a strong familiarity of products and structuring awareness.

  • Experience in Commercial Loan Closing, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

  • Excellent knowledge of industry standards relating to documentation and credit practices including extensive knowledge and understanding of Loan Market Association (LMA) and Loan Syndications & Trading Association (LSTA) facility documentation.

  • Client focused with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

  • Individual accountability and ownership.

  • Strong teamwork orientation. Role modeling flexibility working across product and relationship teams in both strategic and network client arena.

About this role:

Wells Fargo is looking for a Control Management Specialist to join the International Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Control Team. This role focuses on implementing and overseeing the First Line of Defense corporate risk program requirements. Specifically, the Specialist will assist the Markets Control within the International Markets Control team. Responsibilities include providing control coverage across International Markets and contributing to governance programs. The ideal candidate should have a grasp of different Markets traded businesses and operational risk management principles.

In this role, you will:

  • Advise MCT desk of total amount of outgoing currency required & therefore the funding position daily.

  • Assist MCT in ensuring nostro EOD balances are within agreed thresholds Liaise with relevant Ops teams and MCT in regard to unsettled high value payments.

  • Provide any required advance notification for specific settlements above agreed thresholds to MCT desk as per agreed Liquidity management RACIs.

  • Monitor account systems and advise MCT desks of any shortfall.

  • Execute funding requests from various EMEA Ops teams or MCT desk to move funds across nostros /CSD cash accounts in order to ensure underlying LOB transactions are settled on time.

  • Own & complete daily cash forecasting activities for the various businesses.

  • Act on requests in regard to flattening any excess funding positions as per MCT requests.

  • Execute on various specific Cash management team tasks in regard to the type of business cash being monitored , e.g. for the FX business the team will create & send EOD confirmation if Reg W account need to be funded.

  • Provide daily files with T+1 Cash Flow deals to Treasury for the relevant EMEA entities, aligned to agreed thresholds for the various legal entities.

  • Complete required team owned MIS, including monthly FX Risk Packs for required ALCO meetings.

  • Complete any other recurring or ad-hoc reporting requests as advised by manager or delegate.

  • Carry out proactive checks to ensure monitoring systems have updated accordingly.

  • Partner with MCT & Network management in regard to creation of new Nostro Accounts request to EFIA tool for the EMEA entities being supported.

  • Act as a risk champion, ensure you are meeting all risk expectations of the company including adhering to the Risk management framework, policy & procedures, ensuring emerging & actual risk incidents are flagged to the relevant teams within EMEA Ops & also the BCM group in a timely fashion.

  • Support your team in manager in regard to any process or control reviews carried out by any of the reviewing teams including Internal Audit, EBCE , IT&V.

  • Drive a culture of continuous process improvement .

  • Work with your manager in regard to any change initiatives /projects as requested.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ideally experience in a Cash management Operations role in another Financial institution.

  • Fast learner, strong communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong incident escalation capability.

  • Strong IT & data collation skills, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.

  • Organized with good time management skills Strong prioritization skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and perform well under pressure.

  • End of Day PnL production and attribution on portfolio, result validation with Traders, and investigation of discrepancies.

  • Ownership of operational controls on XVA portfolio and corresponding reconciliations.

  • Key Partner to other control and operations functions including Market Risk Oversight, Enterprise Capital Risk Management, Finance and Technology.

  • Ability to work across multiple regions.

  • Must have advance Excel skills and coding skills (VBA/ Python) experience.

  • Confident and the ability to work under pressure of a trading floor and deliver on strict deadlines.

  • Good interpersonal and networking skills to help close out issues.

  • Experience of change management.

  • High level of attention to detail.

  • Good knowledge on Fixed income derivatives: Rates swap / CDS / FX and also FX option and Rates Swaptions.

  • Proactive and the ability to take ownership and lead initiatives/projects to close.
