About this role:
As an Analyst, you will join the Japan Banking team and take part in all phases of the Banking business. Your responsibilities include supporting senior bankers in Japan and globally with financial analysis, preparation of client materials, and coordination of transactions. In this role, you gain exposure to client work and contribute to the delivery of strategic and financial solutions.
In this role, you will:
Support senior bankers in their relationship responsibilities, including idea generation and interaction with existing and prospective clients
Provide support to deliver the full platform of Wells Fargo's capabilities that may include Credit and other Risk Management Solutions, Investment Banking and Capital Markets, FX, Global Treasury Management and Trade Finance. There may be additional focus on certain areas subject to business needs
Lead the preparation of written material, including pitch books, proposals, client materials and associated supporting analyses
Play a key role in the execution function of a transaction including but not limited to preparing materials, support and coordinate due diligence, and negotiation
Stay abreast of key market developments and establish knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics
Coordinate closely with internal and external resources to arrange client meetings for bankers
Required Qualifications, International:
Experience in Investment Banking Program, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
University Bachelor’s degree or above with a relevant focus
Corporate and Investment banking experience, demonstrated through prior intern experience, training, and/or education
Strong quantitative and analytical skills and a solid financial modeling experience
Must be fluent in Japanese and English. Fluent in other Asian languages is a plus
Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage and develop relationships with clients, and internal partners
Strong cultural fit is essential
Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
The candidate will be required to attain and hold upon joining any relevant licenses required to perform their role

About this role:
As an Analyst, you will be part of the Securities Sales team in Japan, contributing to the execution of client transactions and providing market coverage to institutional clients. The role involves supporting the delivery of capital markets solutions while working closely with colleagues across functions to manage client requests and inquiries with precision. This position offers direct experience in client engagement and transaction support within a global platform.
In this role, you will:
Collaborate with other sales team members, structuring and trading, both locally and globally to strategically introduce, market and facilitate the sale of Wells Fargo's diverse product offering to Japanese institutional clients.
Handle daily trade processing activities, including executing and booking orders and transactions for Japanese institutional clients.
Engage effectively with various support functions including the Middle Office, Chief Operating Officer, Client Services, Marketing, Legal, Compliance and Finance to ensure that all client requests and inquiries are managed with precision and efficiency.
Partner with other Sales team members to meet and exceed targeted annual revenue goals, fostering a culture of collaboration and achievement.
Ensure the maintenance of precise records and documentation relating to client visits, discussion, and agreements.
Actively solicit and analyze client feedback regarding new initiatives and prospective product development to drive continuous improvement.
Maintain strong professional relationships while remaining informed of global political, economic, and financial developments, that could impact the direction of business.

Provide local desk coverage and coordinate seamlessly with the Japan Desk in the United States, to ensure around-the-clock first class and consistent client coverage.
Support the Middle Office in confirmation production, payment instructions and settlements, sales credit management and analysis.
Assist the Chief Operating Officer with various strategic Global and Japan business initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
6+ months of Securities Sales, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
Prior experience in Fixed Income sales is highly desirable.
Possession of the JSDA Class 1 Sales Representative certification.
A strong interest in engaging with prominent international institutions, including banks, asset managers, brokers, dealers, and consultants.
Creative thinker and problem solver, with strong numerical, verbal, and analytical skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and presentation capabilities.
Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and adhere to tight deadlines, with a steadfast commitment to the highest standards of quality, professionalism, and meticulous attention to detail.
A proactive self-starter with high motivation, and able to operate independently as well as collaboratively within the global team.
Native Japanese speaker, and fluency in English.
