In your first year with TI, you will participate in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP), which provides professional and technical training and resources to accelerate your ramp into TI, and set you up for long-term career success. Within this program, we also offer function-specific technical training and on-the-job learning opportunities that will encourage you to solve problems through a variety of hands-on, meaningful experiences from your very first day on the job.

Roles may include:

  • Equipment Engineering: Maintains, enhances, and installs advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Process Engineering: Drives process improvements, data analysis and gaining a deeper knowledge of a specific process.
  • Product Engineering: Resolves application issues designing, debugging, and correlating test hardware and software.
  • Facilities Engineering: Supports and evaluates operational and site conditions at a TI facility.
  • Quality Engineering: Analyzes control data and conformance of manufactured units .
  • Packaging Engineering: Develops internal and external solutions for semiconductor packaging technologies
  • Manufacturing Supervisor: Supervises the Operators and implements activities to meet production goals, quality and objectives.

Minimum requirements:

  • Ethics and Employee Relations: Help TI maintain its high ethical standards, commitment to social responsibility and strong employee relations. Projects typically focus on the development and support of key training modules, along with understanding and improving key processes and audits.
  • Recruiting: Recruit talent to TI by preparing for campus recruiting, improving recruiting and marketing efforts, benchmarking and/or managing the internal intern program committee for the summer.
  • Talent Development: Provide relevant learning to improve business performance by developing and implementing development strategies driven by the needs of TI businesses and functional areas. From test software and hardware development, product debugging and test optimization – you help ensure our products are consistently competitive and leading in the market. In each of these roles you'll dive deeper into manufacturing, quality, design verification or validation engineering.

In this role, you'll support the development and implementation of strategies that achieve profitability targets on assigned TI product lines through new product development, cost reduction, capacity expansion and yield enhancement projects. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for all operational aspects related to your assigned product portfolio, resolve customer quality and application issues, and facilitates cross-functional teams for problem solving. You'll also take a leadership role to establish relationships with key contacts in TI wafer fabrication and assembly manufacturing sites to ensure strong communication and effective problem solving.

Product engineering concepts:

  • Data analysis knowledge
  • Manufacturing systems knowledge
  • Product qualification and reliability tests and their implications
  • Device failure verification

Test engineering concepts:

  • Knowledge of basic test concepts
  • Using automated test equipment (tester, tester h/w and s/w interaction)
  • Hardware design and software development
  • Verifying capability& releasing to manufacturing
  • Bench setup – verification/characterization

Validation engineering concepts:

  • Validation Concepts knowledge
  • Using Bench Setups
  • Hardware design& software development
  • Device debug

As a Product, Test or Validation Engineer, you will also get exposure to each of these roles through formal learning, projects and on-the-job development experiences that will help you broaden your knowledge and accelerate your growth and success at TI.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field
  • Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher

Preferred qualifications

  • Basic understanding of schematics, layouts and digital components
  • Knowledge and understanding of analog circuitry (examples include: op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensing, etc.)
  • Programming skills in C/C++ (LabView recommended)
