Description:

The EU Operations Cluster head is accountable to lead and manage all operations activities in the cluster, providing best in class quality products, high service level, with a competitive cost structure.

  • Leads the EU operations cluster
  • Significantly influences business strategy
  • Develops strategic plans and approves operational plans driving toward the achievement of company business and financial goals
  • Takes action guided by the general direction set by Head of operations and TGO OLT.
  • Decisions have a direct impact on business performance
  • May represent the corporation externally concerning matters of critical interest and significance
Essential Areas of Responsibility
  • Lead the development and implementation of Teva Operations Strategy.
  • Develop and manage the interface between the Operations, Markets, TGO supply chain systems and the distribution units.
  • Secure appropriate infrastructure, processes and systems to support all Operations activities in the cluster.
  • Determine projects strategy and risk management with all stakeholders based on market requirements and resources.
  • Facilitate, monitor and implement best practices and State-of- the-Art technologies and way-of-workings, including successful TLMS implementation in all cluster sites.
  • Develop and lead optimization and efficiency processes. Develop KPI's and benchmark tools to measure best practices.
  • Manage capital expenditures and investment in new or existent Operations systems, ensuring the sites capital investment and operational plans are aligned to cGMP and Safety standards and aligned with the network strategy.
  • Manage globally all relationships and interface with internal stakeholders and external partners/vendors.
  • Provide Leadership to sustain a customer focused, team-based organization.
  • Coach and support the development of leadership, teamwork and organizational capabilities at all levels.
  • Ensure the development of succession plans for key operations positions.
  • Provide coaching, feedback and development opportunities for reports via the performance management process.
  • Plan, manage and deliver work plan resources (headcount, expense and capital) and planned capabilities to meet existing and future business needs.
  • Lead and develop continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensure delivery of the work plan submissions, on time and to communicate progress with all stake holders.
  • Assume full accountability for driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with global standards and relevant regulations and legislations.
Your experience and qualifications

Education/Certification/Experience:

  • BS Degree in Science, Management, or Related Field. Advanced degree desired (Master Studies/MBA)
  • Requires a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, in a management capacity

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Comprehensive experience working in multiple plants, within different regions and with different technologies, if possible
  • Industry networking experience – membership in trade associations – leverage thought leadership and next practices within Teva environment
  • Expert level knowledge and experience with OPEX behaviors, principles and tools required, with a demonstrated successful OPEX transformational leadership
  • Excellent problem solver and ability to generate innovative solutions to broad range of issues; sees bigger picture and looks to the longer term
  • Outstanding people leadership and track record of people capability-building
  • Demonstrated track record of transformational change leadership
  • Superb communication skills and ability to influence across the broadest of constituencies
  • Ability to set ambitious and realistic targets, drive for results and build accountability
  • Experience working in a complex, global environment
  • A strong track record of people management and leadership skills acquired in a multicultural environment

How you’ll spend your day
  • Draft, negotiate and review commercial contracts, including agreements such as divestiture, licensing, supply, development, sourcing, quality, clinical trial, technology service, distribution, consulting, and confidentiality and other business and legal documents and interact with the business units in connection with the respective agreements.
  • Advise management of potential risks in contractual, financial and legal areas and propose risk mitigation strategies.
  • Assure compliance with international, federal, state and local laws and regulations applicable to the company’s operations and activities.
  • Assist Vice President, General Counsel TGO – Americas in implementing, improving and reviewing legal processes and procedures.
Your experience and qualifications
  • JD degree from an ABA accredited school
  • A minimum of 5 years of practice in transactional/contract law required, preferably with pharma experience
  • Must be a member in good standing of a state bar, preferably New Jersey

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze legal documents and spot relevant issues with respect to the particular matter at hand.
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize how certain issues relate to one another and how those issues may impact the overall analysis of a particular matter.

  • Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written. Demonstrate effective communication with all levels of the organizations; clients, internal and external counsel, customers; vendors and contractors; and local, state, regional and federal agencies.
  • Effective in written communications. Writing style is informative while being concise and easy to understand. Writing is thorough and comprehensive where it needs to be but also includes summaries where appropriate.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop tracking and status reports structured professionally for presentation to director level personnel in other departments.
Compensation Data

The annual starting salary for this position is between $160,000 – $210,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
