Description:
What to Expect
As a Software Integration Engineer, you will work closely with test engineers to help them integrate their applications into our distributed system framework. You will develop hardware libraries and drivers, ensuring they are scalable and efficient. This role requires a strong understanding of both hardware and software, as you will be responsible for wrapping C/C++ code into services or writing drivers from scratch. You will support framework infrastructure, assist with deployments and automation, and collaborate with design validation and characterization teams. Given the distributed nature of our systems, you will need a solid understanding of computer networking, including VLANs and other network configurations. While the primary focus is software integration, there may be opportunities to expand into firmware development. The framework is written in Go, so experience with a statically typed language is essential.

  • Assist test engineers in integrating applications into the framework
  • Write drivers from scratch when needed
  • Support the software framework and infrastructure
  • Work on deployments and automation for various projects
  • Collaborate with design validation and characterization teams
  • Ensure seamless hardware-software integration
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware-related issues
  • Contribute to improving development workflows and tooling
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Strong experience with a statically typed language such as Go, Java, C, C++, or Rust
  • Proficiency in developing hardware drivers and libraries
  • Understanding of software-hardware interactions and integration
  • Experience with wrapping low-level code into services
  • Familiarity with deployment automation and CI/CD workflows
  • Strong understanding of computer networking concepts, including VLANs and distributed system networking
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software integration issues
  • Experience supporting framework or infrastructure development
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
