What to Expect
As a Software Integration Engineer, you will work closely with test engineers to help them integrate their applications into our distributed system framework. You will develop hardware libraries and drivers, ensuring they are scalable and efficient. This role requires a strong understanding of both hardware and software, as you will be responsible for wrapping C/C++ code into services or writing drivers from scratch. You will support framework infrastructure, assist with deployments and automation, and collaborate with design validation and characterization teams. Given the distributed nature of our systems, you will need a solid understanding of computer networking, including VLANs and other network configurations. While the primary focus is software integration, there may be opportunities to expand into firmware development. The framework is written in Go, so experience with a statically typed language is essential.

  • Support early sensor prototype development to de-risk new technologies

  • Execute initial sensor bring-up and integration testing at the vehicle level to validate system design assumptions
  • Perform change impact analysis for change requests by summarizing impacted devices, interfaces, and processes in the hardware and software domain
  • Ensure sensing system is characterized across a host of environments
  • Support system validation teams in developing electrical and software test plans
  • Serve as the owner of a given sensing system and central point-of-contact for any issues during development or deployment
  • Understand and highlight impacts of electrical, software, or process changes
  • Manage priorities and support a host of projects simultaneously
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, experience and evidence of exceptional ability, or equivalent
  • 5-7+ years of experience in systems design, systems architecture, systems integration, or related field
  • Strong electrical and embedded systems fundamentals
  • Hands-on technical experience debugging complex subsystems involving network microprocessors and software-controlled electrical or electromechanical devices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Address all areas of category management including category business plans, market conditions, technology roadmaps, cost modeling, and sourcing strategies; Monitor global industry trends, track technology roadmaps, and actively partner with the Design teams to identify/mitigate supply and demand challenges
