What You’ll Do

Architecture and Design:

  • This intern will support the team with the execution of the design development process from test fit, concept design, management of survey and due diligence with external consultants. They will also support coordination of all technical and business needs required from stakeholders and transform them into a concept drawing based on site-specific conditions. Additionally, interns on this team will support prototype team with prototype updates and block development as needed, as well as support review construction documents and shop drawings.

Structural Engineer:

  • As an intern on this team, you will support the design and construction of a variety of new and renovations to existing industrial, manufacturing, and office facilities in our high-tech facilities across the U.S. You will also work with multidiscipline project teams including Mechanical, Electrical, piping/Plumbing (MEP) Civil and Architectural professionals. You will conduct structural analysis and design of concrete and steel structures, along with the creation of justifying structural calculations. This intern will make technical assumptions, think independently to complete assigned work, and draw conclusions based on engineering judgement. Additionally, you will complete field work independently or with the design team and support preparation of design drawings, plans, sections, details, and schedules in Revit.

What You’ll Bring
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field

  • Previous internship and project experience is a plus but not required

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally, in writing, and through drawings/sketches

  • For Architecture interns: Working knowledge of US building codes

  • For Architecture interns: Proficient in Revit, & familiar with AutoCAD. Additional software competencies are a plus

As a Tool Install Construction Project Manager, you will be playing a critical role in new factory buildout, upgrading capacity, maintaining operations, and optimizing systems for the most exciting company in the world. You will manage general contractors and subcontractors of various trades to install new manufacturing lines and collaborate cross-functionally with construction engineering, design, facilities, commissioning, and manufacturing as the facility transitions to production operations. From both the field and office, you will be responsible for maintaining budgets and schedules.
What You’ll Do
  • Takes ownership of assigned projects, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction, opportunities, and cost savings for Tesla
  • Evaluates bidding, material buyouts, and negotiating opportunities for potential and assigned projects
  • Maintains effective communication with Tesla personnel, including QC, QA, CX, and Facilities
  • Completes project startup procedures, including but not limited to: Making projections, budgeting, and performing job cost entry for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracts.
  • Prepares major purchase orders while following appropriate pricing and scope evaluations.
  • Reviews project plans, P&ID’s, single-line diagrams, and loop diagrams to account for all material and hardware
  • Manages projects according to Tesla specifications, procedures, and policies

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of SREs and technical contributors, fostering a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and collaboration. Delegate tasks effectively, set clear goals, and provide guidance to ensure successful project delivery and operational stability
  • Partner with Github, Artifactory, Polarion, Mattermost and Atlassian tool users to promptly address issues, gather feedback, and implement solutions. Work closely with development and operations teams to integrate engineering tools seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and best practices. Promote knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization to enhance tool adoption and administration efficiency
  • Collaborate with leadership to define long-term strategies for tool infrastructure, aligning with organizational growth and technical objectives. Assess and integrate new technologies to enhance reliability and efficiency
  • Drive the adoption of automation frameworks and modern practices, mentoring the team in scripting and tool development to reduce manual effort and improve system reliability
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Extensive experience in the installation, configuration, development, debugging, support, and upgrades of GitHub Enterprise and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
  • Proficiency in managing and automating Confluence Spaces, permissions, and Jira projects, with a track record of optimizing user workflows
  • Deep knowledge of Polarion administration, including templates, workflows, permissions, OSLC integrations, and High Availability setups (HA experience highly desirable)

  • Collaborate on Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify risks and create control plans for production dies
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with stamping, forming, and die-set maintenance and repair. Apprenticeship certification in Tool & Die or equivalent experience
  • Experience with high-speed die-sets, including tooling material selection, and knowledge of CNC die surface machining, welding, and spotting
  • Familiarity with Lean principles (waste elimination, continuous improvement, JIT, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret dimensional inspection results (CMM, checking fixture, or vision systems)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, managing tight deadlines and competing priorities
  • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
