  • Understand regional energy markets and utilities, define functional requirements with engineering colleagues, and work with teams to evaluate new market segments
  • Evaluate the integration context for battery systems and provide technical guidance applicable to Tesla technology
  • Develop and negotiate technical terms for contracts with customers and commercial teams
  • Engage with policy teams to shape market developments and reforms
  • Provide feedback on market needs and competitive landscapes to inform ongoing product development and offerings
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor or Masters in Engineering, with a Major in Electrical, Energy or Power Systems
  • 2+ years of experience in the energy or renewable industry
  • Working knowledge of battery systems, power conversion and grid connection processes for energy storage or solar PV systems
  • Familiarity with building excel models to understand technical and financial impact
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to present complex engineering concepts and technologies to a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience in stakeholder management drive on outcomes
  • Ability to track rapidly-changing market conditions regarding storage funding, product development and competitive landscape
  • Ability to prioritize and execute many projects and tasks in parallel

What You’ll Do

Specific Duties

  • Oversee and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including IT, Program Managers, Operations, L&D, and other relevant teams.
  • Drive repeat business on renewal cycles working with leasing companies on end of lease reports to identify new targets to expand current sales opportunities and work with the retail stores and marketing to further increase new sales.
  • Focus on the strategy and execution of our key partner programs such as Lease My Tesla and preferred leasing.
  • Understand industry and competitive trends and work with Sales & Marketing teams to activate sales & relationship initiatives
  • Develop reporting metrics and dashboards to better analyse trends and deep dive into how to drive more sales demand and improve customer experience.
  • Be the primary contact for urgent sales & delivery escalations to create operational efficiencies and further manage partner expectations.
  • Establish and manage all contractual agreements with the leasing partners, where applicable and respond to pricing requests and complete RFPs in a timely manner as required.
  • Work closely with L&D to improve overall leasing knowledge for Sales, Service and Delivery employees.
  • Project manage IT changes and system improvements for Leasing driving operational efficiencies and a seamless customer experience
  • Host test drive events and attend industry conferences and the likes to represent Tesla and seek out new business opportunities.
  • Leverage existing leasing company relationships to grow sales within this segment.
  • Work closely with the Tesla Leadership to develop a strategic approach to driving sales demand and collaborating with the retail stores.
  • Support and collaborate with the Key Account Managers in Enterprise to increase sales in the LFM space for both leasing and B2B.

General Duties

  • Find operational efficiencies and develop new processes to ensure that the Customer Experience is first class.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive product knowledge in respect of all vehicles, processes, and business finance solutions. Conduct competitor analysis on a regular basis.
  • Continuous improvement of processes and procedures to reduce operational friction.
  • Understand industry and competitive trends and work with the marketing team to activate initiatives such as drive programs or customer site events.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • The role will be a national role so you will be expected to travel to fulfil the duties of this role.
  • The ideal candidate must be capable of building a 360-degree view of a given situation by addressing Service, Sales, Legal, Operational, and financial factors to provide balanced solutions for both the customer and Tesla.
  • The successful candidate will be required to manage multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining excellent customer service levels, often in difficult circumstances.
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions autonomously
  • Proficient experience in Business-to- Business or commercial sales with proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets and goals.
  • Ability to communicate relevant information to all levels of the organization.
