  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Tesla’s utility product and work to continuously improve how to deploy it faster and more cost efficiently.
  • Support the bid process and be involved at the pre-contract stage for EPC projects.
  • Communicate with a range of stakeholders internally (sales, engineering, deployment, and procurement) and externally (Tesla’s customers).
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering (preferably civil)
  • 3+ years’ experience in construction projects in similar position
  • Good understanding of project controls (cost and schedule), Primavera P6 or equivalent
  • Good understanding of autocad or other drafting software
  • Ability to review a BOM BOQ and put together robust cost tools to make data easy to interpret
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Experience with fast-paced organisations and ability to prioritise and execute many projects and tasks in parallel
  • MRICS accreditation preferred
  • Renewables experience preferred
  • Knowledge of constructability, engineering fundamentals, HV substations is a plus
  • Some interstate travel may be required

As the Electrical Engineer (Balance of Plant), Energy Service, APAC, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of Tesla-managed high voltage (HV) and medium voltage (MV) equipment at Tesla’s utility sites. This includes ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.

To succeed in this role, you should have experience in risk assessment, maintenance management, and operational reliability of HV and MV equipment. You should be a quick learner, proficient in IT systems, and able to work independently with a strong bias for action.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies for Tesla’s APAC BOP (electrical) fleet, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Create procedures, schedules, and resource plans for executing maintenance activities.
  • Establish and manage service agreements with external contractors and vendors.
  • Develop systems and tools for maintenance execution, equipment performance tracking, and compliance monitoring.
  • Oversee outsourcing and procurement of BOP maintenance services, including contractor onboarding.
  • Ensure maintenance plans for all critical electrical assets are documented in Tesla’s CMMS.
  • Develop and manage a spares and spare parts strategy for Tesla’s BOP equipment.
  • Assess, report, and develop mitigation strategies for BOP equipment risks.
What You’ll Bring
  • Registered Electrical Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience in HV/MV equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Expertise in electrical drawings, technical documents, and risk management.
  • Experience analysing technical test reports (e.g., insulation resistance tests, transformer gas analysis, relay test reports).
  • Proficiency with industrial/utility standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large datasets.

You will be the link between our service coordination and our field service team; you will ensure that all spare part requirements are handled with great care and that our team of field technicians receive parts in time. Operating out of our office in Melbourne, you will be supporting our project planning, daily service operations, spare parts stock and small order picking.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage Service spares in and out of Product Distribution Centers
  • Stock management, optimizing parts mix and identifying slow and fast movers to avoid excess stock
  • Handle goods received and dispatch from Melbourne Service center
  • Keep a clean and transparent inventory database for Field Service locations
  • Handle RMA transactions, inventory management, demand planning with factory, shipping and parts distribution to service techs, MRB
  • Support Field Teams in parts ordering and return
  • Support Service teams with Continuous Improvement, Kanban Systems and 5S of Service Operations centers
  • Actively participate in project and weekly planning, tracking and reporting
