What You’ll Do:

  • Provide first class support for a high energy creative and executive team.
  • Provision new equipment and onboard new users and provide welcome training.
  • Perform account provisioning and permissions assignments.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other peripheral equipment as required.
  • Perform basic break fix tasks.
  • Support security teams on incident response and use of patching and anti-malware tools.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues both wired/wireless.
  • Provide global support for any SMP location as required.
  • Liaise with Sony L2 & L3 teams to assist with troubleshooting and configuration of local infrastructure as required.
  • Work with SMP infrastructure staff to navigate a wiring closet to patch workstations/devices into the network as appropriate.
  • Have a basic understanding of SMP’s business applications and refer support requests to appropriate resources as needed, which might or might not be within SMP.
  • Submit purchaserecommendations/requeststo appropriate SMP staff to ensure availability of user PCs and peripherals.
  • Work in our Service Desk ticketing system.
  • Document troubleshooting steps & procedures so others can leverage knowledge.
  • Provide training and coaching to less experienced team members.
  • Be a contributing member of a global support team.
  • Maintain inventory of local assets.
  • Project based work as needed.

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field.
  • Strong understanding of Windows and MAC environments.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and be able to manage expectations of a demanding user community.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and Office 365 Administration.
  • Experience with Service Desk ticketing systems such as Jira or ServiceNow.
  • 7.5-hour business workday but variations in work volume frequently require extended working hours for evening and late-night events.
  • Be familiar with basic security & privacy principles (MFA, Access Control, Asset Management, phishing, data protection, encryption)
  • Broadly familiar with basic networking concept (tcp/ip, subnets, dhcp, dns)

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • License the internet streaming, videogame, TV broadcasting as well as theatrical rights of Aniplex’s anime IPs to the local licensees in the US, Australia, New Zealand, UK and Latin America

  • Create sales sheets of each IP/Content for solicitation to licensees

  • Pitch each IP/Content to licensees and negotiate deal terms andconditions.

  • Finalize contracts with legal to close deals.

  • Work with vendors and internal team to manage all delivery assets of materials, i.e. Master files, Press kits, and IPs/Contents Programming data

  • Manage royalty calculations, process, and payments for each IP/Content for each licensee, including receipt of payment, and any issues or settlements of due invoices

  • Coordinate material delivery and schedules for each licensing right between Aniplex Japan, localization companies, and each licensee

  • Monitor and track submission and approval progress of licensing deals from each licensee

  • Supervise the design, material usage, direction, restriction and concept of each IP/Content to each licensee

  • Plan and develop Licensing business strategies

  • Forecast profits/sales and plan budgets for Licensing business in the company

  • Stay informed of relevant entertainment industry knowledge, trends and innovations

  • Special projects as requested

Your qualifications and experience should include:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a licensing (any industry)

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (or equivalent years of experience in licensing industry)

  • JAPANESE ENGLISH Bilingual – must have professional level skills of reading, writing and communicating in Japanese for daily correspondence with licensors in Japan

  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with others

  • Ability to track and research performance analytics and create reports

  • Self-motivated, self-starter, energetic, and creative

  • Strong critical thinking and analytic skills as well as the ability to see the bigger picture

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge, interest and passion in Anime, Manga and Entertainment highly preferred

  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA

The target annualized base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000.In addition to the annual base salary, this role has an annual bonus target of 5individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime. You will facilitate the internal operations of the department to ensure they run smoothly. You’ll be responsible for routing service desk tickets to the appropriate team members, managing inventory and orders for department equipment, codifying processes into documentation, administering account access, and handling department communications to other teams or the company at large.

Service Desk Response

  • Review incoming tickets and provide first response, with an eye to connect users to documentation when available.

  • Route tickets to the appropriate department team member or escalate to development teams for resolution.

  • Look for common issues and identify candidates for documentation or knowledge base articles.

Inventory, Order, and Equipment Management

  • Work closely with the Digital Content Associate to keep track of stock levels of hard drives and hard drive shipping supplies.

  • Proactively request and order new inventory of hard drives and other branded supplies.

  • Partner with the Digital Content Associate to ensure mastered hard drives are available for in-office pickup.

  • Arrange deliveries of mastered hard drives, as necessary, in collaboration with the Digital Content Associate.

  • Routinely check department equipment (e.g., the hard drive duplicator and S3 mirror) to ensure it is functioning as intended, flag issues, and arrange for replacement or service as needed.

Documentation, Communications, and Issue Creation

  • Create and maintain documentation for department practices, procedures, or other issue areas, with an aim to eliminate information silos throughout the business.

  • Document and distribute minutes of critical meetings as well as change logs or summaries of major platform updates (e.g., new website builds or CRM features).

  • Coordinate with all team members to ensure their processes are formally documented.

  • Write documentation or knowledge base articles in response to common issues arising from service desk.

  • Create any necessary issues or specifications in Jira as needed by team members or developers.

System Administration

  • Provision accounts for Extreme systems, especially for new employees.

  • Partner with Sony/SMP IT as necessary to request new licenses or to troubleshoot licensing issues.

  • Coordinate with the Office Manager to keep track of all department subscriptions, card charges, and invoices.
