The position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: experience in data analytics, with a proven track record of success in a manufacturing environment. Position requires experience with the following: knowledge of visual design/visualization; ability to analyze data using SQL, Excel, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI; experience with SQL, and/or other scripting languages such as Python or R; experience with ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) analytical tools like DAAI and Altryex etc.; experience in predictive analytics, machine learning, or statistical modeling. Approximately 10% travel required. Hybrid work permitted.

Procurement Engineer (Hybrid)

You will make impact with the following responsibilities:

  • Early Procurement Involvement:
    • Engage in preliminary development. Be actively involved in the product development/manufacturing process as well as undertaking and pushing forward cost reduction measures (design to cost, target costing, standardization, key data, etc.) to achieve the target costs for materials and reduce the overall material costs by fulfilling the necessary functions. Represent Strategic Procurement in the R&D project meetings and ensure milestone deliverables. Collaborate with R&D engineers and commodity managers to align the development goals with commodity strategies.
  • Early Supplier Integration:
    • Include suppliers and conduct cost-benefit analysis workshops, innovation workshops and concept competitions with key suppliers to concentrate on the key functions of the components/projects. Optimize material cost through DtC. Review’s material cost target.
  • Analysis:
    • Initiate market observation, conduct and provide market information/analyses on international technology and price trends to obtain new suppliers and new technologies in the supply chain.
  • Alignment of Technology Roadmaps:
    • Introduce and follow up given cross-functional Procurement strategies to ensure the linkage of commodity strategies and technological market trends.
  • Strategy alignment:
    • Support activities planned by the lines of business to harmonize and implement the technological line-of-business strategies with procurement strategies. Supports Core/Non-core initiatives. Participates sourcing strategy development with commodity team.
  • Strategy deployment:
    • Drive sourcing decisions with interface partners to incorporate technological knowhow and safeguard security strategies. Drives cross-functional sourcing concept.
  • Business support:
    • Be involved in and provide corresponding support for projects in lines of business to provide optimum input for quotes, workshops, scope of material (BoM assessment) and realization of potential for savings in the project.
  • Supplier Management:
    • Technology Assess and develop suppliers from the technological standpoint (if necessary, jointly with interface partners) to concentrate on the best suppliers.
  • Knowledge management:
    • Participate in workgroups and work in projects to stay informed and keep and others informed and exert influence at an early stage.
  • Risk Mitigation:
    • Applies preventive methods aimed at risk minimization. Designs, maintains, and improves specific requirements, specification and concepts based on supplier categorization.
  • Supplier Integration:
    • Coordinate’s product/service qualifications and approvals based on specific requirements / specifications (Ready to Order).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • 5 plus years of experience in procurement and supply chain management including R&D, manufacturing, procurement, finance and supplier interfacing.
  • Excellent analytical skills and good judgment in assessing risks and control deficiencies, with confidence in suggesting practical alternative solutions.
  • Ability to travel 20%
  • Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS Electrical Engineering Degree
  • Master’s degree.
  • Industry experience within a Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic component manufacturing business
  • Project management knowledge and execution leadership experience
  • Professional Certifications: Supply Chain Management; Project Management etc.
  • Good communication, listening, good networking and negotiation skills are required.
  • Self-determined and goal oriented, Ownership, interpersonal skills, presentation skills, proactive and team player with the drive to implement changes.

Benefits and Perks:

The pay range for this position is $98,630 - $169,080. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.

**This is a hybrid position so the chosen candidate will be able to work from home 2-3 days a week.**

You will make an impact:

This position will report to the Plant Controller and will interact on a regular basis with business segment as well as operational senior management:

  • Help define long term strategic targets and drive implementation by breaking them into achievable short-term objectives in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Own aspects of planning, controlling, accounting and reporting activities of the plant including EVA, Gross Profit, Investments, NWC
  • Manage the month-end closing process including preparation of journal entries for revenue and cost accruals. Analyze results and investigate deviations in detail including any corrective actions. Summarize findings and present to senior management.
  • Manage expansion project from a commercial standpoint including comparisons of business plans as well as functioning as gate keeper.
  • Manage CAPEX projects (partly driven by expansion projects) from conceptualization, approvals, PO, delivery, payment, and capitalization while also evaluating the financial benefits of such projects.
  • Innovate by standardizing and digitalizing existing processes and identify opportunities to develop new KPI’s or reporting that adds business value.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

  • BS in Accounting, Finance.
  • 4 + years of proven experience in Finance leadership, preferably in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • In depth knowledge of SAP (FI/CO) as well as a strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting process
  • Experience as a Team Lead or Supervisor developing and leading teams/individuals.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis with out company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Tableau, PowerBI or Knime.

  • Use multi meter and electronic theory to verify power readings and circuit design to ensure accurate wiring and operation.
  • Use Hipot, test card, hand tools and various other tools to aid in testing.
  • Use specialized software for testing/inspecting when required (i.e. Siemens WinPM, Step 7, MicroWin, WinC Flexible, SAP, etc.)
  • Perform inspections/audits of mechanical and electrical assemblies.
  • Maintain and input records or reports related to testing/inspecting activities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2+ years exposure to electrical components or knowledge of electrical components.
  • Ability to read schematics.
  • Ability/Experience testing and fixing; strong problem solving.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree.
