Core tasks may include:
• Builds a foundation within assigned account(s) on which to harvest future Services business opportunities
• Accountable for booking and revenue Services targets for assigned account(s)
• Origination and management of opportunities and bids, deal closure through formal sales cycle

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to enhance our operational efficiency, productivity. This role requires a deep understanding of automation technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional global acting teams.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and support automation initiatives, provide guidance and ensure best practices
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Oversee security and compliance automation, ensuring system reliability and governance
• Integration of cloud technologies with existing database technology is one main focus area
• Manage SAP HANA Cloud database automation, including deployments, lifecycle management, performance tuning, etc.
• Find ways to automate tasks e.g. in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) to improve our compliant hybrid operations in our 24/7 mission-critical environments
• Standardize processes through documentation, playbooks, and automation guidelines

What you bring
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• Strong expertise in automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Python, Bash)
• Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps) and version control (Git)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, container orchestration, and security best practices
• Database know-how and automation experience (HANA, HANA Cloud, ASE)
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to mentor engineers and drive strategic automation efforts
• Project lead experience in technology projects is an advantage
• Experience in SAP operations procedures within large-scale, 24/7 mission-critical environments
• Min. 10 years in the IT Industry, thereof 5 of professional software development or automation experience
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies, concepts and tools
• English on business level is required, German is a plus
