Role Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or Software/Computer Engineering, or something equivalent
• 2 or more years of professional software development experience
• Experience developing production web services preferably using Java, JavaScript, Python, Node.js, TypeScript, Go
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, OpenStack, Cloud Foundry, or Gardener using Kubernetes, or other cloud native deployment solutions.
• Experience working in a cloud environment and the challenges that come involving high availability, scalability, performance, observability, security, testability, etc
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging complex software systems in production environments to resolve issues and follow up with recommendations through root cause analysis
• Strong sense of drive, urgency, and ownership

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with microservice architecture, back-end design principles, software development best practices
• Experience using or operating HANA or HANA Cloud for web applications
• Experience doing some of the following:
  • Building containerized services using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
  • Developing web services using technologies like Springboot, FastAPI, Flask, Django, etc
  • Creating CI/CD pipelines using technologies such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps

What you'll do

As a new team member (f/m/d), you will be supporting further improvement of our Governance concept. This includes:

• Maintaining and further improvement of our ECS Dashboard build with SAP Analytics Cloud
• Support our Capacity Planning framework and tooling including setting the right KPIs and targets that ensure meeting ECS overall business strategy and financial goals

You will become a member of a product development scrum team working on the new solution developed for SAP internal use, called
Contract Content Solution(CCS).

The Contract Content Solution (CCS) is a system designed to manage and store all contractual building blocks, such as templates, clauses, and rules. CCS aims to enhance and eventually replace existing customizations and applications built on platforms like CMS and LEX, providing a more advanced and centralized approach to contract management.

You will support your colleagues in the implementation of automatic tests that will make sure that every version of the Contract Content Solution delivered on the cloud meets the performance and quality expectations of its users.

You will participate in the agile product development lifecycle by developing automated tests in an incremental way and will get involved in agile specific team meetings and workshops, such as planning, retrospective, demo and refinement sessions.

As a student, your working hours will be flexible, but we count on you to work 40 hours per week (full-time).
