As Finance Operations Specialist in GFS General Accounting Cash & Bank, you will be able to build your accounting profession as you support the daily operations of the process and apply your accounting knowledge in practice constantly. Key Responsibilities:
· Execute general accounting tasks for monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, including tasks such as the preparation and posting of General Bad Debt, SOX compliance controls, and daily exchange rate updates.
· Reconcile and review accounts and reports, including performing Bank Reconciliations and Ownership of accounts; to ensure accuracy and compliance.
· Support cross-functional teams during SOX audits, tax audits, and external/internal audit reviews, as required.
· Actively participate in and support various projects aimed at continuous improvements, process standardization, system migrations, or system testing in collaboration with Developers.
· Maintain adherence to service level standards while contributing to a culture of excellence in service delivery.
· Provide regular updates to the manager regarding the status of both incoming and outgoing accounts for monthly reporting.
· Lead and support regional initiatives, working effectively with teams across various regions.
· Address and resolve escalations on accounting issues across any company code promptly and effectively.
· Work independently with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvements.
Skills and Competencies
· Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
· Additional language competency would be an added advantage
· Knowledge in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and SAP system knowledge preferred
· Aptitude for repetitive transactional system tasks and ability to work in a dynamic / virtual environment
· Ability to work independently and as a team in a multi-cultural environment
· Self-motivated and able to work under time pressure with accuracy and commitment
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Education / Work Experience
· Student of Accounting or Business

Must-have requirements/skills:
• At least 5 years of work experience in a customer experience role (e.g., Program Manager, Architect, Customer Engagement, Customer Advisory).
• Proven experience delivering enterprise Business transformation through Application delivery.
• Experience in end-to-end architectural design for hybrid solution landscapes.
• Proven knowledge of SAP Enterprise Architecture Framework and Toolset, SAP Integration Advisory Methodology, SAP Extensibility Advisory Methodology, SAP Clean Core principles
