Your role:

  • Develops and drives the long-term vision and strategy for innovation and development of Ultrasound Transducers to maximize business value.
  • Aligns strategic direction with evolving customer needs and market trends, fostering cross-organizational innovation.
  • Leads internal innovation efforts across 4 global sites and manages external partnership strategy to support growth.
  • Builds and sustains departmental capabilities, ensuring the development of key competencies and technological expertise.
  • Ensures availability of critical resources, tools, and infrastructure to support emerging technologies and long-term innovation goals.
  • Optimizes technological competencies and product development processes to align with market dynamics and organizational strategy.
  • Improves key operational processes and manages departmental costs in line with budgetary constraints.
  • Oversees development execution to ensure high-quality output that meets innovation partner expectations.
  • Provides leadership to the development department, ensuring effective project delivery, performance, and cost management.
  • Accountable for operational plan execution, guiding Project Managers and Leaders in resource allocation and project management best practices.
  • Leads succession planning and talent management, including recruitment, performance evaluation, compensation planning, and career development.
  • Drives continuous improvement in transducer engineering development processes to ensure efficiency and quality excellence.
  • Champions the adoption of best practices from internal business units and external industry benchmarks.

You're the right fit if:

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant (Leadership + Technical) experience, including minimum five (5) or more years’ experience in systems, device, or transducer development within the health technology industry
  • Minimum 5+ years managing large globally distributed teams (60+ FTEs) up to and including director level reports, with direct line management and budget accountability > 30M.
  • Demonstrated experience in development leadership for classified medical devices, specifically hardware or piezoelectric components.
  • Proven ability to lead, plan and execute multiple large-scale, long-duration engineering & development projects with successful outcomes.
  • Strong leadership with ability to demonstrate impact to business in prior roles, including evidence of continuous improvement, building high-performing teams and developing talent.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate within complex, matrix business environment with demonstrated track-record of successful outcomes when working with cross-functional / multi-national / multi-cultural teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver continuous short term business results (in a complex and constrained environment) combined with creating and implementing a competitive long-term strategy
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this .

R&D Project Manager - Transducer Hardware (Reedsville, PA)

As a technical program/project manager, responsible for End-to-End technical leadership of transducer projects from the project initiation until Market introduction, or internal delivery. Responsible for gaining agreements on and achieving project scope and objectives while balancing schedule, cost, quality to meet product requirements.

Your role:

  • Leading Ultrasound transducer development projects through product development milestones and in support of quality improvements, parts obsolescence, assurance of supply strategies, product cost reduction, performance improvements, and new ultrasound features.

  • Working with hardware development and program teams distributed across North America and China to lead the planning, definition, specification, design, implementation, integration, and testing of hardware solutions.

  • Working with project stakeholders to effectively communicate and review plans, risks, mitigations, metrics, status, variances to plan, and corrective actions.

  • Ensuring project execution is in line with project guidelines and directives, meeting goals for scope, quality, schedule, performance, investment, and product cost and driving project to closure.

  • Ensuring compliance to corporate and regulatory agency policies/rules/procedures.

  • You’ve acquired 7+ years of professional experience with leading complex new product development projects in medical device regulated environment and proven track record of delivering on time and on budget.

  • Your skills include product quality and reliability metrics, risk management, and FMEA in medical device regulated environment.

  • You have a Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical, or equivalent professional experience. PMP Certification is preferred.

Your role:

  • Responsible for guiding the new product development and sustaining change teams to ensure reliability goals are met for of new and modified transducer products.
  • Participates in the development of design specifications, verification test plans and reports. Facilitate DFMEA and Safety Risk analysis.
  • Responsible for developing Reliability Plans for each development project, creating Reliability Growth Test Plans and Reports and tracking initial field reliability metrics.
  • Provides input into risk management plans that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely affect field reliability.
  • Leads teams to track field failure modes, determine root cause of failure and coordinates the development of engineering solutions to repetitive failures and other problems that adversely affect product reliability and customer experience.
  • Uses data analysis tools, data visualization tools, and failure methods to be able to assess and report trends, investigations, and other relevant data.

  • You have a minimum of 3+years’ experience in Reliability/Test engineering and analysis within highly regulated product environments (FDA regulated medical products preferred)
  • You have detailed experience in Design Verification Test (DVT), Test Methods (TMV), HALT, HASS, MTBF, DFMEA, Root Cause/Failure/Weibull Analysis.
