Your role:

  • Provides strategic leadership and vision for the finance business partnership function, aligning financial strategies with the company’s overall goals and ensuring that the finance team is a key driver of business success. Collaborates closely with executive management and business unit leaders to develop and execute financial strategies that support growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability, ensuring that financial insights are integral to strategic decision-making. Oversees the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for multiple business units, ensuring that financial plans are robust, data-driven, and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.

  • Lead the creation of advanced financial models to evaluate key strategic options like market expansion, acquisitions, and new products, ensuring all assumptions are thoroughly tested. It also improves financial tools and processes by identifying issues, suggesting upgrades, and leading cross-functional efforts to boost efficiency and accuracy. Also, responsible for preparing clear, high-level financial presentations for executives and the board, helping guide important decisions, as well as to evaluate and prioritize major investments, offering expert financial advice to ensure alignment with the company’s long-term goals.

  • Leads initiatives to improve financial processes, systems, and tools across the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and leveraging technology to enhance financial planning and reporting. Champions financial integrity and compliance across the organization, ensuring adherence to corporate governance standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements, while proactively addressing any financial risks. Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including operations, sales, marketing, and R&D, to ensure that financial perspectives are integrated into all major business decisions and initiatives.

  • You’ve acquired 8+ years and a Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years with Masters’ degree in areas such as Business Partnering, Corporate Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis or equivalent.Also, progressively relevant finance experience gained in a large multi-national environment, preferred.

  • Your skills include the ability to partner with management at all levels and to lead major projects and initiatives, intellectual capacity to digest complex information, see trends & analysis through data, ability to balance speed and accuracy, while working with multiple internal and external stakeholders to prepare deliverables

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent.

The pay range for this position in Cambridge, MA is $163,000 to $259,000.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives, may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. You will ensure complaint and legally the correct dismissal and execution of our Central Social Plan (CSP) in time, with focus on personal guidance of impacted employees by Social Affairs (SA) Coaching. And as such be accountable, for ensuring compliance with License to Operate within scope GEO NL, from a Social Affair Management perspective.

Your role:

  • Provide general and expert content advice and support with regards to CSP dismissal to the People Function and organization in NL. Focus on leading and securing end-to-end Social Affair Management process during planned restructurings, providing dedicated support for employees affected by these changes.

  • Ensure, in close cooperation with People (HR) Partners and Talent Acquisition, the execution of the redeployment protocol to increase fair redeployment. Enhance personalized attention, support and service to impacted employees to alleviate stress and improve the likelihood of achieving positive outcomes.

  • Be responsible for qualified and trained SA coaches, in time, and coordinate the end-to-end process of matching impacted employees with external SA coaches in cooperation with external suppliers.

  • Standardize effectiveness and efficiency of preparations and execution of the Social Affair Management process (including an up-to-date portal, formats, info materials and process information).

  • Secure proper HR –admin execution (in close cooperation with Philips People Services) of dismissal CSP including reporting outplacement progress about the different elements of the CSP to relevant stakeholders.

  • Improve cooperation with internal and external suppliers; e.g. LHH/Randstad, Archipel, Altersum and Talent Acquisition. Build simple processes, procedures, and tools/formats to manage in formalized and standard way.

  • Ensure knowledge sharing and adherence to the formalized and standard WoW within the People Partners/People (HR) function, including supplier and account management activities with finance/procurement support.

  • A Bachelor or Master education with relevant years of working experience (in the Netherlands), preferable known and experienced in (use of) CSP, Redeployment protocol, VSO/BOK, etc.

  • Personal leadership in driving and owning the Social Affair Management process end-to-end.

  • A strong affinity for streamlined processes and standardized methodologies and the ability and drive for constant effectiveness and efficiency improvements.

  • Performance and Development Enable People Leaders to drive impactful performance management, fostering employee growth and development through setting clear responsibilities and goals, and holding regular performance and development discussions in alignment with global philosophy and local guidelines. Guide managers in their scope and if needed, provide guidance in handover to the local People Partner. Ensure that people leaders carry out directions given by the local PP teams in the countries for compliance and cultural norms.
  • Engagement and Culture Partner with People Leaders to role model and foster our culture of impact with care, manage team engagement and act on feedback (e.g. through Employee Engagement Survey). Ensure People Leaders facilitate efficient and impactful onboarding of new team members leveraging available global resources.
  • Workforce Planning and Operations Partner with People Leaders to ensure organizational structures are aligned with business needs and operational workforce plans and position management is secured optimizing cost. Grading of CG80 roles and below if required.
  • Business Transformation Support A strategic partner in business transformation initiatives designing people impact assessment and strategies ensuring leadership buy-in and smooth planning for activation with local People Partners. If necessary, represent the business context in conversations with unions or workers councils to ensure local compliance at all times. Ensure appropriate handoffs to local People Partners in cases where local legal advice is needed, ie PIPs, reorganizations, etc. Could manage high complexity in terms of the number and diverse set business/function and/or countries served in combination with capability required to manage stakeholders; Executes strategic initiatives, mostly applying independent judgement

  • Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent. Minimum of 8 years of experience in People Partnering or similar roles, preferably in a regional or global environment.
