As Technical Department Manager, you will ensure that Philips’ IGT X-ray systems continue to deliver world-class reliability and innovation, enabling clinicians to perform life-saving cardiac and vascular procedures with confidence.
You will lead a department of 15 highly skilled Lead Engineers, Designers, and Change Leads. Together with your team, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (Supplier Quality, Operations, Customer Services, Procurement, Quality, Innovation, and Marketing) as well as external suppliers and customers, ensuring alignment on technology roadmaps, sourcing strategies, and product quality.
This leadership role offers the opportunity to strengthen your expertise in people leadership, lifecycle management, medical technology, and regulatory compliance while shaping the future of cutting-edge imaging systems. You have a Master’s degree or higher in Mechanics, Mechatronics, Industrial Design, or equivalent technical discipline.
Strong knowledge of international standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, IEC 62304, IEC 60601, ISO13485, ISO14971).

About the Role
As part of your role, you will support a major transformational program that is across multiple departments and functions. This program is a strategic priority for the our supply chain, and you will be part of the Change team, contributing to planning and execution efforts for a successful adoption.
Your role:
Assist in drafting and designing internal communication materials that are clear, engaging, and aligned with strategic objectives.
Support the planning and execution of training sessions, workshops, and change-related events.
Coordinate logistics and scheduling for communication and training activities.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.
Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.
Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net
Paid holidays per internship term.

Ensure the required EMC performance during the design, implementation, and verification of complex RF electronics systems
Prepare and guide EMC (Pre-)Compliance tests of complex electronics systems
