Your role:
Lead and support procurement projects within an assigned key category, focusing on cost savings, quality improvements, supply optimization, and innovation.
Identify and deliver Bill of Materials (BoM) cost reductions through concept and source changes, as well as supporting supplier negotiations.

Your Role
As the Senior Procurement Project Manager, you will drive end-to-end sourcing initiatives for mechanical component modules, focusing on pre-NPI (New Product Introduction) phases. You’ll act as the strategic interface between engineering/module teams and our commodity teams, translating product and technical requirements into actionable sourcing briefs and enabling supplier-driven innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Optimization Leadership: Champion cost optimization by challenging the status quo and finding the right balance between product requirements, consumer needs, and supplier capabilities. Leverage deep insight into mechanical components and product functionality to drive competitive advantage.
Project Leadership: Lead pre-NPI scouting and sourcing projects for mechanical components, ensuring alignment with product development timelines and technical specifications.
Cross-Functional Interface: Serve as the bridge between module teams and procurement, facilitating clear communication and strategic alignment.
Sourcing Briefs: Translate complex product and engineering requirements into structured, actionable sourcing briefs.
Innovation Enablement: Identify and pursue supplier-enabled innovation opportunities tied to concrete NPI product needs.
Roadmap Facilitation: Guide long-term roadmap discussions between module teams and suppliers to ensure future readiness and strategic alignment.
Negotiation Strategy: Support defining negotiation strategies with our commodity team and support execution to maximize business outcomes.
Risk & Value Assessment: Evaluate supplier capabilities, risks, and value contributions in the context of product and business goals.
Lifecycle Support: Oversee sourcing activities across product lifecycle phases, including Phase-In/Phase-Out (PIPO) planning.

Your role:
The Digital Innovation intern will support the Global Grooming & Beauty Digital Solutions team by contributing to various running innovation projects as part of our business’ digital strategy. These projects range from Agile App Development, Advanced Development (like AI/ML algorithms), Value Proposition Creation and Product Development, Launch & Monitoring. You will be working closely with 1-2 Sr. Digital Consumer Marketing Managers and a wider team of digital experts. As part of the team, you will:
Support innovation and value proposition creation by assisting in consumer needs research, market trend analysis, and competitor benchmarking.
Contribute to digital analytics and user insights to track KPI’s and help inform product strategy and (AI/ML) feature development.
Assist in the translation of consumer and business needs into clear product requirements for software and hardware development teams.
Participate in cross-functional workshops, ideation sessions, and project meetings to help shape the future of our connected products.
Help prepare presentations, reports, and research summaries to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.
Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.
Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net
Paid holidays per internship term.
