Job Description
• Proactively drive the quality of our brand expression through timely activation and facilitation at the right level with our license partners.
• Enable deployment of brand governance with appropriate tools and capabilities.
• Review the quality of the licensee’s brand expression across touchpoints.
• Review and sign off on Design Identity Documentation and facilitate Brand Identity creation
• Address any issues or opportunities around brand quality.
• Develop and maintain relationships with the GBL business partners.
• Develop and maintain relationships with licensees, design, and brand stakeholders.
• Align with other BL portfolios/teams where needed.
• Drive the Philips Design language on materials, finishing, product, and user interface design
• Applies creative expertise at a higher complexity project or program level, demonstrates a high level of content specialization within the domain, and contributes innovative solutions and insights to advance project objectives, achieve impactful results, and establish standards and content that persist across projects.
• Ensures the implementation of user-focused strategies, innovations, solutions, and experiences, and conducts user testing and validation to ensure effectiveness and enhance overall user satisfaction.
• Reviews and creates design solutions with a holistic approach, considers ecosystems and interdependencies, and ensures that the design addresses not only individual components but also their integration and impact within the broader context.
• Reviews and creates visuals and prototypes that articulate design concepts and interactions, refining them iteratively based on feedback received, ensuring alignment with user needs and project goals.
• Promotes effective collaboration by fostering co-creation approaches between Design and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment of goals and facilitating the exchange of ideas and perspectives to drive innovative solutions and enhance the overall user experience.
• Performs larger, more complex projects, possesses the ability to influence and create conducive conditions for success within the immediate environment, and demonstrates leadership and strategic thinking to drive impactful outcomes.
• Works within moderate complexity project constraints, including budget and time limitations, ensures high design quality standards are maintained, and demonstrates adeptness at delivering results promptly without compromising on excellence.
• Performs moderate customer and user experience research by conducting user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, gathering insights crucial for informing design decisions and ensuring the creation of user-centric solutions.
• Initiates and carries out comprehensive analysis and research activities, uncovers deeper insights, contributes valuable input that drives the development of innovative and user-centered design solutions, and fosters growth and proficiency in both research methodologies and solution ideation.
• Acts as a field expert, takes ownership of knowledge creation and management within the organizational context, actively contributing to the advancement and dissemination of expertise to support organizational objectives and enhance collective understanding.
• Participating in quarterly business and functional performance reviews and all other BL team reviews throughout the calendar year.
• Contribute/participate in the BL team – support active contribution to the strategy, ways of working, and innovation agenda.
• Participate in the BL Design team – actively contribute to the ways of working, innovation agenda, and operational needs related to the design role and contribution.

Corporate Communications
Develop and execute integrated corporate communications strategies that enhance visibility and protect reputation across Greater China.
Lead corporate storytelling and messaging for key company priorities; ensure alignment with global guidance and local market realities.
Manage high-impact corporate campaigns and milestone announcements, coordinating cross-functional inputs
Build and maintain relationships with tier-1 national/trade media; oversee briefing materials, Q&A, and corporate content for media use.
ESG Communications & Program Management
Define and localize the ESG narrative in line with global sustainability commitments and China’s policy agenda.
Plan and deliver ESG initiatives and multi-stakeholder programs with measurable outcomes (e.g., partnerships with NGOs, industry bodies, public-private initiatives).
Engage external stakeholders (associations, NGOs, academia) to amplify ESG impact and credibility.
Oversee ESG storytelling and reporting to ensure accuracy, transparency, and alignment with global frameworks.
Internal Alignment (non-BU facing)
Guide internal alignment on key corporate and ESG narratives in partnership
Provide content guidance and governance so internal materials reflect corporate narrative and reputation guardrails.
Governance & Ways of Working
Establish processes, calendars, and guidelines for corporate/ESG communications; track progress and continuously improve.
Coordinate with Brand to ensure consistency of tone, voice, and expression across owned and earned channels.
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Sustainability, or related field.
12+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, ESG/sustainability communications, public affairs, or related fields in multinational environments.
Demonstrated success in media reputation building, issues/crisis management, and ESG stakeholder engagement in China.
Excellent bilingual writing and storytelling (Mandarin & English); ability to counsel senior stakeholders.
Strategic, calm under pressure, and execution-strong with clear ownership mentality.
