Account Manager, Health Systems
Job Description

In this role you will develop and drive credible and productive long-term relation with customers, by understanding their business needs and providing tailored value propositions, being the orchestrator of the relationships with accounts. This will include a strong focus on credible and productive Private and government segment accounts, by understanding their needs and providing tailored value propositions. This role will focus on the KZN province in South Africa.


In this role you will:

  • Develop, maintain and improve of the relations a limited number of key accounts to keep or to set Philips as preferred supplier.
  • To grow the Public Sector Accounts business for Health systems through strategic key Account Management plans and building strong relations within government segment and effective stakeholder management and engagement
  • Representing Philips Health Systems at key Government engagement forums to unlock Health Technology opportunities
  • Initializing and coordinating all Philips efforts to the accounts in order to maximize the output of the sales group.
  • Creates, together with marketing, services and supply chain teams, the optimal offers to the accounts.
  • Creates an account plan for each account for 2 years in which budgeted targets are translated into specific strategy and actions per account as part of the operational plan of the sales group.
  • Creates and implements action programs for and with the accounts to improve the performance of Philips.
  • Drives the performance of the functions in the account team to get it done. Systematically analyzes and reporting of sales results, expectations, market, competition and trends to make proposals for improvement.


You're the right fit if you posses:

  • University degree with minimum 5 years experience in successful sales or account management roles within healthcare / imaging solutions
  • Ideally a Radiography background
  • Channel partner management experience.
  • Experience in building and executing account strategy
  • Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce)
  • Track record of ability to cultivate strong customer relationships with key decision makers (incl. C-suite)

Software Technical Project Lead


Job Title:

You will be part of the Research and Development Software Team in Varginha, a team with global footprint including global members. You will be the technical lead for development and maintenance of medical devices, specifically in the Hospital Patient Monitoring - HPM (currently working in multiparameter monitors and obstetrics).

Your role:

  • Understand and have experience of how to organize and lead a high performing team in Software Product Development.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable development processes, legal standards, quality metrics, security protocols, and regulatory requirements to maintain compliance and excellence.
  • Contribute to the technical innovation of the product and/or systems for which the teams are accountable, offering insights, hands-on technical reviews and continuous constructive feedback.
  • Stay updated with relevant technology domains, continuously learning and introducing new technical practices and innovations to the team, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify trends and opportunities.

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
  • +5 years of experience working in Software Product Development, preferably in the medical industry
  • Previous experience in a technical leadership role preferably in the medical industry.
  • Advanced spoken and written English
  • Experience with:Linux, Build Servers, CI/CD, Git, Python.
  • Experience withC/C++, C# is a plus
  • Experience with Medical Devices Regulations (desirable)

Your role:

You will manage the strategic & operational (business/financial) planning process and performance management with the relevant organization and drive for the delivery of the committed results. You will also ensure appropriate business action & response to changes in financial results, customer preferences and external factors.

As part of the Health Systems Japan Finance team, you are also responsible for the planning and performance management of the Cost of Organization for Health Systems Japan. In this role you will cooperate with multiple functions within Philips Japan to establish planning of the annual budgeting as well as quarterly forecasting, with the support of a financial planning & analysis resource. You will also ensure appropriate business action & response to changes in financial results or deviations against budget.

・10+ years of progressive Finance experience, gained in a large matrix organization, preferably international environment.

・Post-graduate qualification like MBA, MSc, CFA, CPA, CMA is a pre.

・Intellectual capacity to digest complex information, see trends and analysis through data and translate this into concrete actions.

・Strong problem solving capabilities and continuous improvement trackrecord

・Curious mindset, with excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English.

・Advanced technical skills in Excel, Digital Data Analytics Tools experience (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau) ERP (SAP preferred), and PowerPoint.

・Ability to balance speed and accuracy
