You Will Also

In this role you will be critical to the successful execution of the UK and Global risk and compliance programmes. To achieve this, you will also need to :
• Act as a trusted partner to business and enablement teams and work to implement Programme, new product and BAU change to comply with the evolving regulatory and internal control environment
• Support the design and implementation of oversight frameworks for future expansion programs
• Be highly visible in engaging with varied Sales & Marketing stakeholders.
• Be comfortable delivering and navigating constructive challenge
• Demonstrate subject matter expertise in one or more of payments, merchant services, digital / crypto assets and continuous compliance monitoring frameworks.
• Be a champion for positive customer outcomes and provide a demonstrable understanding of Conduct Risk assessment and measurement
• Be comfortable with subjectivity, ambiguity taking a considered position on risks exposures, sometimes based on limited information.
• Be flexible to change - remaining open to new information or approaches and adapting decisions accordingly.
• Be accountable for building effective and diverse direct and virtual teams, attracting and retaining skilled talented individuals as well as taking an active role in developing and mentoring at all levels.
Basic Qualifications
• Degree level education
• Excellent English language communication skills, verbal and written.
• 3+ years in the UK financial industry with proven experience in a compliance function.
• Subject matter expertise in one or more of payments, SME merchant propositions, digital currency / crypto assets and / or continuous compliance monitoring.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong project management skills and demonstrable change management experience.
• Sound decision making and judgement, calmness under pressure, and the ability to effectively prioritise and delegate.
• Strong interpersonal skills, confident engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, in a fast-paced, growth focused environment.
• Experience with UK regulators and the regulatory exam process in a financial institution.
• Extensive knowledge of FCA & PSR requirements plus appreciation of broader UK regulatory landscape
