Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to influence process quality.
  • Determine appropriate actions for process improvements.
  • Recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and manage account health and performance.
  • Provide analytical insights to support business decisions.


Expected Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Available for 12 months. Full time will be preferred, min. 3 working days per week.

Preferred Qualification:

This is a 12-month internship.

Your day to day

  • Perform Market Research, audits of industries and analysis of potential new verticals to identify new merchants for the enterprise segment.
  • Qualitative Analysis of leads, assist in engaging with merchants that meet enterprise criteria.
  • Assist in analyzing payment flow of existing merchants and identify integration improvements as well as potential upsells of PayPal products.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of merchants in conjunction with the Enterprise Sales team, helping with the collection of documents from merchants.
  • Support the Iberia team in daily activities, competitor analysis, internal presentations, newsletters etc.

What do you need to bring

  • Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
  • Good team player with a collaborative approach and be able to create quality relationships quickly, whilst also working well independently.
  • Have a good sense of initiative, self-motivation and willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge or payments industry or ecommerce is preferable
  • Currently enrolled at university for a degree in a business / commercial or related subject. Can also be in the process of preparing final dissertation
  • Available for 12 months. Full time will be preferred, min. 3 working days per week.

What you need to know about the role


Job Description:

In this role, you will:

  • Support GMK APAC alignment and activities (for Australia)
  • Program management to GMK LT in Australia for overseas visits, executive onsite and other major milestones throughout the year.
  • Manage logistics and attendance with Business Marketing with various key customer events throughout the year
  • Support the site culture through day-to-day support for ERGs, and initiatives that drive culture and engagement across the site
  • Support internal PayPal Comms
  • Support the regulatory accountabilities of the Country Manager around FAR Accountability Regime (FAR) & Governance ongoing reporting of regulatory obligations

Managing the site budget for GMK related staff

  • Managing a budget across the whole of GMK as part of the AU site.
  • Budget includes T&E, major site events (eg country kickoff), small customer events and roundtables, sales offsites, training and enablement programs.

Supporting internal communications/site culture

  • Partner with HR (Singapore), External Comms and various ERG groups to drive the site culture, events and monthly activities (all hands, catering, major holiday parties and events throughout the year).

Managing customer marketing activity

  • Support Business Marketing by providing program management for large foundational events from a logistics, nomination and attendance perspective. This involves 2-3 major customer events run by Business Marketing.
  • Run end to end tactical and industry-based dinners on behalf of GMK leadership and other sales led marketing events.

FAR Accountability Regime (FAR) & Governance:

  • Support the Country Manager and the regulatory obligations under the FAR regime
  • Create meeting cadences and tracking/detailing of minutes that need to be saved/stored for regulatory purposes.
  • Managing policies that impact the Country Manager including Advice Policy, Conflicted Remuneration logging and others.

Partnering with Sales Enablement:

  • Program management and logistical support for ‘on the ground’ training and enablement programs that roll out in Australia ongoing.

Operational support for Country Manager and senior GMK Leaders:

  • Diary and travel management for Country Manager and senior GMK leaders.

  • Proven experience in operational administration, program management, and coordination
  • Strong skills in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience in managing outsourcing services and affiliate relationships.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, reporting, and communication abilities.

Job Description:

Working in a global matrix, this role will The TFHX team is a component of the broader Global Investigations program and engages inhigh-complexity/high-riskinvestigations associated with terrorist financing, weapons/arms trafficking, human trafficking, and the exploitation of children.

As a member of the TFHX team, you will be encouraged to use creative and analytical approaches to identify suspicious activity for reporting and mitigation. Additionally, you will work proactively with internal and external partners, including law enforcement, on a full spectrum of financial crime matters.

This role requires a self-starter with the ability to think critically, seeing beyond the initial facts presented and reviewing information thoroughly and in a highly organized manner to drive the matter to successful conclusion. Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to operate independently, manage multiple competing priorities with difficult deadlines, and exhibit a sense of urgency when necessary.

Your day-to-day

In your day-to-day role you will:

  • Provide investigative support with initiatives and projects to identify patterns, trends, and typologies in furtherance of the mission and purpose of the Global Investigations team.
  • Conduct comprehensive, high quality end-to-end complex investigations to identify financial crime patterns, trends, and typologies impacting PayPal and the global usercommunity.
  • Drive investigations to a timely conclusion following the completion of a comprehensive analysis of information across multiple platforms and jurisdictions to timely and appropriately detect suspicious activity and fulfill time-sensitive regulatory filing obligations; prepare drafts of regulatory filings to ensure they are factually accurate and materially sound prior to submitting them for approval for filing.
  • Deliver verbal and written briefings to partner departments and key leaders regarding current and emerging threats.
  • Support the Global Investigations team by conducting post-incident analysis of significant events and providing data-driven recommendations for the identification and prevention of future incidents.
  • Create regular, comprehensive reporting to inform key leaders of the activities of the Global Investigations Team.
  • Operate independently and manage multiple competing priorities with difficult deadlines, displaying a sense of urgency when necessary.

What do you need to bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years anti-money laundering, complex financial crime, counter-terrorist financing, or trans-national organized crime investigative experience; and/or
  • 2+ years intelligence analysis or law enforcement experience with relation to financial crimes.
  • Working knowledge of international and regional Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions regulations andguidance.
  • Expert communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Travel, as needed.
  • Data query and analysis skills (Big Query, SQL, SAS, Teradata, Hadoop, etc.) -
