Your Career

We are seeking a highly experienced Staff IT Software Engineer to serve as a technical expert and strategic execution driver for our core quality and automation initiatives. This is a critical, high-impact role where you will apply your decade-plus of experience to accelerate delivery velocity, design next-generation test architectures, and embed an AI-First methodology into our daily engineering practices.

Your Impact

• Advanced Test Strategy: Define and drive the execution of the automation strategy, Implement sophisticated progression testing across key business processes to ensure continuous feature stability.

• Champion AI-First Execution: Champion the practical integration and standardization of generative AI and AI-powered co-pilot tools (e.g., Gemini, Cursor) across the team’s automation and development of workflows, synthetic data creation, and anomaly detection within our applications.

• Subject Matter Expert: Collaborating with cross-functional teams across geographies to ensure test efficiency and effectiveness to cover meaningful test coverage

• Contributing to automation development, CI/CD pipelines, and innovative quality solutions like test data management and heuristic analysis

Your Experience

• 10+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in Quality Engineering, Software Development in Test (SDET), or a highly related technical role.

• Expert knowledge in designing and maintaining robust, enterprise-scale test automation frameworks (e.g., using Pytest, Selenium, Playwright, REST Assured).

• Demonstrated experience in a Staff or equivalent senior technical role, showing the ability to influence technical direction across multiple projects or teams.

• Deep practical experience utilizing or integrating AI/ML concepts and generative AI tools (like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Gemini) to significantly boost test development and data management productivity.

• Exceptional ability to design test strategies for complex, distributed systems, microservices, and end-to-end business processes.

• Proven history of technical mentorship and elevating the skills of peer and junior engineers.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent military experience required.

Your Impact

• Participate in the design and implementation of Advanced Threat Prevention cloud services for public cloud and private cloud features

• Participate in all phases of the product development cycle, from definition, design, through implementation and test

• Provide real-time security services to customers

• Work with PLM on new feature requirement

• Work with QA and DevOps on new release deployment

• Work with support to handle customer issues

• Work with security researchers and data scientist on a new feature request

Your Experience

• BS/MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

• Solid programming skills in GoLang, Python or Java

• Solid knowledge and skills on Linux

• Solid skills with Kubernetes and Docker

• Rich GCP experience is a plus

• Solid knowledge of web servers/proxies such as NGINX, envoy

• 3 years of working experience on data infrastructure platforms

• Strong micro-service development experience

• Rich Experience with SQL and No-SQL DB technologies such as MySQL, Redis

• Hands-on experience with the queuing system such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, experience with Pub/Sub is a plus

• Solid skills in multi-threads and multi-processes programming and experience in a distributed system are preferred

• DevOps experience a plus

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $126,000 - $204,500/YR. • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of talented security researchers focused on defending organizations as they transition from on-premises data centers to modern cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Drive the strategy and execution of research initiatives to uncover novel techniques for detecting and responding to sophisticated attacks targeting hybrid and cloud-native environments.
• Define and prioritize detection use cases, relevant datasets, and innovative analytic approaches combining runtime visibility and posture management across diverse platforms.

Your Experience

• 5+ years in security research with a proven track record of driving impactful projects
• 2+ years in a leadership or management role, including mentoring researchers and setting research strategy
• Deep expertise in cloud-native security, with strong focus on Kubernetes, containers, and major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI)
• Experience developing or working with detection and response products, such as XDR, EDR, or cloud workload protection platforms
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex research findings and drive alignment across diverse teams
• Proficient in hands-on coding and scripting (e.g., Python).
• Experience working with large-scale data pipelines and analytics (e.g., GCP BigQuery, Dataflow)
