WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH?
You will report to the Footwear Material Costing Director, while working closely with Material Sourcing, Planning, Finance and Product Manager teams. You will connect with Product, Design, Material Developers, material Suppliers, and Factory Partners to understand manufacturing processes, material roadmaps, and innovation roadmaps. In your role, you will serve as a primary lead for Synthetic material trends, cost strategies, opportunities, and performance.
The successful candidate will bring a curious mindset to the job every day capable of leading cross-functional projects and individually leading workstreams. This Costing Lead will need to identify and plan a proactive classification costing strategy, leveraging sourcing segmentations, enterprise impacts, and value capture opportunities. Keys to the role are driving cost transparency, creating supply chain efficiencies, simplifying processes, and enabling cost transparency. The candidate needs to be organized, detail oriented, and thrive in problem solving environments.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, procurement, supply chain or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
Experience: Minimum 6+ years in sourcing, manufacturing, operations, or supply chain; leadership experience is a plus. Prefer at least 4 years in material costing/finance.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with footwear construction, material manufacturing, and costing is preferred, along with exposure to raw material commodity markets and forecasting.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with outstanding interpersonal abilities for cross-functional collaboration.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint; experience with information management systems for maintaining material/product data.
Work Attributes: Strong attention to detail, process orientation, and the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment; team player with a proactive and flexible attitude. Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and belonging, with a willingness to travel up to 5%.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON?
As an integral part of the Footwear Material Costing team, you will be directly engaged in the continued development and improvement of internal bi-annual pricing tools and systems, seeking to drive automation and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for assessing global commodity markets, identify value engineering insights, and set in motion cost saving actions that drive performance excellence. You will be integrated across the Material Supply Chain team, working closely within a classification squad on seasonal and seasonless projects.
