Project Title:

Novel laser system reliability and laser induced damage testing for new generation wafer inspection system

Job Description:

• Support novel laser optical design and setting up state-of the-art test stations in the new laser lab

• Develop SW for automatic testing and processing Data collection and analysis

Project Objective / Learning Outcomes:

Requirements:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree from a recognized university

• Available from Jan - May/June 2026 (prefer semester Intern, commitment of 5 to 6 months)

• Strong knowledge or skills in optics and photonics, physics and programming languages (LabVIEW, MatLab, python, etc.), or good at data interpretation and matrix mathematics would be an advantage

• Drives program success by successfully managing and executing to roadmap projects.
• Develops strong relationships with all KLA product divisions, factories, install and services stakeholders. Works closely with these business stakeholders to understand and support their needs.
• Lead and execute projects by working closely with IT to develop key features and capabilities, and to resolve any bugs.
• Fully understands KLA’s Product Lifecycle (PLC) process to ensure quality of new capabilities or enhancements meet KLA’s high standards.

• Develop and execute a global real estate strategy aligned with the KLA business objectives.
• Optimize the real estate portfolio to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and business growth.
• Conduct comprehensive portfolio analysis, including space utilization, cost analysis, and risk assessment.
• Manage and optimize all real estate assets, including owned and leased properties, across all regions. Identify opportunities for consolidation, expansion, or relocation to improve operational efficiency.
• Develop long range plans for the real estate portfolio.

• Oversee all real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and lease renewals.
• Ensure all transactions are conducted in compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and best practices.
• Negotiate complex lease agreements, purchase contracts, and other real estate documents.
• Manage due diligence processes for acquisitions and dispositions.

• Collaborate closely with regional real estate and facilities leaders to ensure consistent execution of global strategies.
• Provide guidance and support to regional teams on real estate matters, ex. FRAM, LAA, Docusign, Lease Negotiation, signing and filing.

• Develop and implement training programs for regional real estate and facilities staff.
• Ensure staff are knowledgeable about company policies, procedures, and best practices.

• Clean Rooms & R&D Labs: Specialized knowledge of the unique requirements for these facilities, including environmental controls, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Warehouses: Management of logistics and distribution considerations, including space optimization, accessibility, and transportation.
• Training Centers: Ensuring these spaces are conducive to effective training and development programs.

• Compile market data, forecast, budget, and other analysis to support real estate investment opportunities.
• Create and benchmark industrial peers’ key operational and service levels KPIs.
• Ability to run cashflow comparison.
• Ability to provide analytical data to support internal approval process for C-suite.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 10 years of experience in commercial real estate.
• Extensive experience in global real estate management, preferably in a multi-national company.
• Strong knowledge of real estate transactions, leasing, and property management.

Multimedia Production & Studio Management

• Lead the end-to-end production of training videos, including:
  • Scriptwriting and storyboarding
  • Directing and filming technical demonstrations
  • Editing and post-production (color grading, audio mixing, motion graphics)
• Manage the training video studio, including lighting, sound, camera equipment, and green screen setups.
• Maintain a library of reusable multimedia assets and templates for consistent branding and instructional quality.

Scriptwriting & Instructional Storytelling

• Collaborate with SMEs and instructional designers to write clear, technically accurate, and engaging scripts.
• Translate complex engineering procedures into compelling visual narratives.
• Apply storytelling techniques to enhance learner engagement and retention.

Software & Tools Expertise

• Operate and maintain advanced multimedia tools such as:
  • Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition
  • Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Vyond
  • OBS Studio, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro (as needed)
• Use screen capture and animation tools to create tutorials and simulations.

Training Content Integration

• Integrate multimedia content into LMS platforms (e.g., SumTotal), SharePoint, and other knowledge systems.
• Ensure content is accessible, version-controlled, and aligned with KLA’s Product Lifecycle (PLC) and training standards.
• Support localization and subtitling efforts for global audiences.

Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

• Conduct usability testing and gather learner feedback to improve content effectiveness.
• Track training KPIs and analytics to assess impact and identify areas for enhancement.
• Stay current with trends in multimedia learning, instructional technology, and adult learning theory.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Production, Film, Instructional Design, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in video production and multimedia content development, preferably in a technical or industrial setting.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating video editing, scriptwriting, and instructional storytelling.
• Experience working in or supporting training for the semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing industry is a plus.

• Strong written and verbal English language skills.
• Familiarity with semiconductor tools and service environments (e.g., Inspection & metrology systems).
• Ability to manage multiple projects end-to-end, including planning, monitoring, and change management and meet tight deadlines in a matrixed, multicultural environment.

• Work closely with the Business Unit and Head of Product Marketing and the Product Marketing Manager of LS/SWIFT Division to develop strategies to advance the position of these products .

• Understand the needs and requirements of the customer and represent the Product Division in devising strategies to meet customers’ needs.

• I nfluence product development of next generation products and features.

• Lead a team of engineers to provide technical applications support for the development and implementation of KLA’s state-of-the-art products for LS/SWIFT in customer wafer fabrication and packaging facilities. This includes investigating semiconductor manufacturing yield issues and providing inspection solutions at our customer’s advance manufacturing facilities.

• Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation, design of experiments, and communication between customers and specialists.

• Makes presentations on all aspects of products to KLA management and Customer management.

• Assists Sales manager in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer technical requirements and preparing detailed product specifications

• Some travelling within SEA countries may be required.

Detailed responsibilities include:

Develop and deliver technical training on service, maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting.

Participate in tool building, manufacturing, field support, upgrades, installs, and other technical activities to master the technical know-how on the assigned product. Maintain a high level of technical skills and stay up to date on new product changes and updates.

Independently conduct and lead the review meetings and discussions with subject matter experts to define milestones, deliverables, and training plans.

Lead the assigned training projects; conduct reviews with stakeholders; provide regular updates to the stakeholders and functional groups; assess risks and actions; assesses efforts, time and resource requirements; maintains action trackers and project documentation.

Review engineering documentation, procedures, and specifications. Capture technical information into training documents. Develop well-organized training content and videos most appropriate to the target audience and create appropriate certification plans.

Learn and use new software and tools to develop high-quality videos, remote training, web-based modules, augment reality models and simulations to deliver highly engaging learning experiences.

Fully maintain the assigned tools or equipment in the best possible conditions all the time. Performs regular health checks, preventive and corrective maintenance and upgrades.

Follow and apply standard training design and development best practices, formats and templates.

Review and validate service procedures on the tool. Assess the need to update documentation. Monitors the errors, mistakes, changes requested. Provide corrective feedback to technical writers and drive implementation of the changes in the documentation quickly.

Minimum Qualifications

An engineering degree in optical, mechanical, or electrical engineering

Minimum 5-10 years of in-depth technical experience on KLA inspection or metrology equipment.

Preferred experience on ICOS products (CI/Zeta). Experience on any of the W2T ICOS tools will be a plus. Experience on other inspection equipment backed by in-depth manufacturing or service experience will be considered.

Experience in preparing training curricula and delivering technical training.

Prior experience in conducting or supporting technical training, formally or informally, or mentoring junior engineers on KLA or other semiconductor tools will be a plus.

Strong written and verbal English language skills.

Strong presentation skills with ability to communicate comfortably with international audience

Demonstrated strong documentation skills and ability to capture the technical knowledge and discussions on the paper to develop systematic training material.

• Solid theoretical and experimental knowledge of physical optics, optical metrology, light sources and sensors, data analysis, signal processing

• Expertise in at least two of the following: optical microscopy, optical design, EM modeling, optical metrology, optical design, interferometry, ellipsometry, scatterometry, laser physics

• Hands-on skills in optical setups and willingness to use them

• Data analysis, physics and system modeling capability
