Responsibilities

• You will be part of the platform team, responsible for developing platform software in the areas of:
  • Board-bring up related experience.
  • 10G, 40G, 100G and 400G interface related platform software like interface drivers etc.
  • Platform infrastructure related software like Chassis/line card, fabric, Optics, HA, etc.
  • Device Drivers & SOC SDK Integrations
• You will be responsible for these product developments in the platform area in either JunOS or Junos Evolved based software architecture.
• In addition to the design & development activity, you are required to work closely with system and solution test teams to ensure products/solutions delivered are of the highest quality.
• You will be required to work closely with Juniper Technical Assistance Team to provide engineering assistance in supporting critical customer escalations for customer deployments.

Requirements

• BTech / MTech in CS/CE or related field with 14+ years of proven experience.
• In-depth knowledge of data networking, e.g., TCP/IP, Ethernet, Switching, Routing etc.
• In-depth knowledge of kernel device drivers, system bring-up, FreeBSD/Linux internals.
• Understanding of Ethernet, OTN, SONET etc. technologies.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong in C, C++ programming, OO analysis & design, data structures and system debugging skills.
• Good understanding of firmware, hardware level details for Optics, PCIe, SPI, I2C, FPGA, CPLD, MDIO, Flash Driver.
• Prior software development experience on networking products or board bring-up experience is MUST.

• Build infrastructure using your knowledge of Public Cloud (AWS/GCP) services

• Develop CI/CD pipelines

About the Position

This position will have broad responsibility for working with the field sales to engage customers and drive our security business. The candidate must have proven ability and record to drive product requirements from definition to delivery for complex and dynamic network security space, engage with strategic customers, work with vendors and partners, and effectively interface with product marketing, product development/engineering, operations and finance.

Responsibilities

• Focus on executing against our strategy of growing our network security solutions business.
• Full lifecycle Product Management role (including inbound and outbound functions).
• Work with cross functional teams to define and manage requirements needed to create, maintain or enhance our line of network security solutions.
• Develop roadmaps, deliver detailed product requirements, and oversee the management of requirements backlog.
• Contribute to quarterly business reviews.
• Improve the usability and customer experience for our network security solutions.
• Execute design programs to validate novel product concepts through customer engagement.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Finance, other business units and to deliver against established corporate and business unit objectives.

Required Experience/Skills

• Must have a background in delivering security products to the market successfully.
• Good understanding of and experience with the full Product Management lifecycle for at least 3 years.
• Must be able to define hardware and software product requirements, provide business justification through a formal plan, prioritize features and track progress.
• In depth knowledge of firewalls, security services such as IPS, IDP, web filtering, antivirus, anti-malware, and software/hardware management is extremely valued.
• Well versed in the Security Market with current trends, customer deployment models, monetization models and technologies
• Experience with understanding product workflows to deliver superior user experiences to customers.
• Adept at analyzing business results, forecasting, pricing, positioning and managing product transitions.
• Comfortable presenting to diverse audiences, great collaboration and influence skills, high-energy personality to break barriers and drive an emerging portfolio.
• Good understanding of integration with third-party security solutions and automation frameworks.
• Experience with AI, analytics, SIEM, SOAR and XDR is a plus.

Education:

• Bachelors / Master’s degree with experience in enterprise network security solutions.

• This position is based in Bengaluru, India and has a requirement for the individual to be based locally.
• Must work from the office 2-3 days a week.
• Must have the ability to physically host and attend in-office meetings as needed.

Role: Software Engineer Staff

Responsibilities

· Test IP networking related software product to ensure it operates as defined by requirements

· Build network configurations to model well-optimized network reference designs

· Plan, develop and execute automated and manual test plans

· Provide constructive feedback, report issues and interact with developers to deliver superior product quality

· Review requirements from the Product Management team

· Utilize available network troubleshooting tools, including network packet captures, monitoring devices, log files, and customer input to facilitate effective issue resolution

Minimum Qualifications

· MS/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

· Expert knowledge on Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies by either validating or deploying related networking products

· Solid understanding on popular clos based Data Center networks architecture such as 3-stage and 5-stage
