Job Responsibilities

  • Take part in project managing new account onboarding’s for Institutional Client mandates inclusive of Segregated portfolios, Advisory and Sub-Advisory mandates and additionally manage lifecycle events such as Mergers, Liquidations and Closures, In-Species and Custody Changes.
  • Act as the point of contact with and for the Client during the end-to-end onboarding timeline. At the point of new business win, you will be introduced as the onboarding specialist lead and you will be responsible for end-to-end Client engagement, coordination and management until funding.
  • Lead internal stakeholders and external Client meetings to ensure events are effectively scoped, managed and delivered within agreed timeframes providing an excellent level of Client service.
  • Complete and maintain event documentation, including onboarding checklists, account opening information, product specifications, project plans and any other related documents. Additionally, perform control checkpoints and authorization of Client mandates prior to launch.
  • Collaborate effectively across internal teams to leverage expertise, products and service delivery. Lead on business support initiatives including representation at Control Committee Meetings or through the New Instrument Approval process.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills through regular status reporting to key stakeholders and proactively identify risk and control issues to prevent and mitigate risks.
  • Support the global client onboarding teams to develop best practice standards and consistency and Identify ways to improve processes/procedures to enhance the Client experience.
  • Manage the onboarding process including Investment Management Agreements, account opening and set-up, communication with client and other third parties.
  • Coordinate Know Your Customer (KYC) (onboarding) in partnership with Client Advisors, Client Service teams and Compliance teams.
  • Support various type of product account opening and onboarding, e.g. segregate mandate account, fund account, alternative product account.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Able to clearly and effectively communicate with clients, both verbally and in writing. This includes active listening, understanding client needs, and conveying information in a way that is easy to understand.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients is essential. This involves being empathetic, patient, and approachable. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to build relationships with senior business stakeholders and Clients.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Collaborating with other team members to provide comprehensive client support.
  • A solid level of financial product knowledge including Equity, Fixed Income, Currency, Derivatives and Funds Investment.
  • Trade flow knowledge from event inception, trade execution through to operational settlement. A strong understanding of Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency and Custody knowledge.
  • Project Management experience with the ability to manage initiatives concurrently end to end.
  • Managing multiple client requests and tasks efficiently is important to ensure timely responses and resolutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable working with a wide audience varying in degrees of seniority and ability to develop effective relationships with key business partners. A team player who is flexible and can maintain both a positive attitude and high level of performance in demanding/time-sensitive situation.
  • Strong MS Office skills including Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint and ability to use web-based technology effectively.
  • Disciplined, self-motivated, and delivery-focused individual who is able to work independently where required.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Asset Management or relevant Investment Banking, Wealth Management experience.
  • Ability to identify process improvements and implement appropriate changes using digital tooling e.g. Python, Tableau, Alteryx.
  • Flexible/ability to adapt to change

You will become familiar with the fund strategies and an expert in the portfolio implementation system. Your role requires following trade ideas through from the point a portfolio manager selects a stock to the conclusion of the trade and dealing with subsequent cash and operational requirements. Additionally, you could be expected to play an important role in the operational set-up and launch of any new products on the desk.

Job responsibilities:

  • Manage multi-portfolios/accounts.
  • Implement overseas funds advisory model/instruction to onshore portfolios.

  • Holder of a relevant University bachelor’s degree and at least one of Senior broker/SITICA license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of overseas fund portfolio management working experience.
  • High level of numeracy, attention to detail, and risk awareness with a control-oriented mind-set.
  • Assertive with strong communication skills and a flexible attitude in supporting people based in different time zones.
  • Highly focused, maintaining a consistently high level of concentration and attention to detail, able to work accurately under pressure, within tight deadlines, and effectively prioritize workflow.
  • Pro-active approach to work to prevent problems occurring, with a questioning nature that challenges anomalous figures or procedures.
  • Native Mandarin fluency and written and verbal fluency in English.
