Our Application Engineers work directly with customers to understand their requirements and needs and then successfully convert these into product design. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in electromechanical systems, particularly BLDC motor applications, and who thrives in a collaborative, customer-facing engineering environment. The person on this position will mostly handle projects in the product segments of Washer Pumps, Steering Column Adjuster and Seat Applications across Europe.
Your Responsibilities will be to:
Manage engineering projects and drive the full product development cycle, with a strong focus on technical feasibility, design optimization, and integration of BLDC motor technologies
Liaise with customers’ engineering teams to gather detailed application requirements and ensure alignment with technical specifications and performance targets
Collaborate closely with internal engineering teams to transform customer needs into robust technical proposals and detailed product designs
Lead and coordinate all engineering-related activities and milestones, including customer technical reviews, prototype builds, laboratory validation, and vehicle-level testing
Monitor project progress, analyze test data, and communicate technical findings and next steps to both customers and internal stakeholders
Maintain close collaboration with corporate and regional R&D teams to align on technology development, particularly in areas involving electromechanical systems and motor control
Provide hands-on engineering support in resolving quality issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions
Our requirements:
University degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of experience in product development within the automotive industry
Proficient in 3D CAD tools (e.g., Catia, Pro-E, SolidWorks) and CAE software
Solid understanding of application reliability, NVH testing, and relevant automotive engineering standards
Familiarity with APQP / TS16949 processes and tools: DFMEA, PFMEA, DVPR, PCP, MSA, PPAP
Fluent in English; German is highly preferred
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and systematically
10% working hours travelling
Reliable and conscientious personality with the ability to coordinate cross-functional, international teams

Your responsibilities will be to:
Act as main customer contact for handling of customer complaints (8D) and all other quality related topics
Organize and manage internal (Stuttgart) and external (on site at customer) containment actions
Guide the cross functional team (CFT) in the production plant as well as Stuttgart laboratory staff for a customer specific complaint analysis
Conduct onsite customer visits when necessary
Support the introduction of new products & applications as well as product changes
Our requirements:
Engineering degree - preferred to the field of Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related
Relevant experience of ideally 3 to 5 years in a similar position; Fresh graduates are also welcomed to apply
Quality related experience in automotive / industrial environment
Familiarity in the problem-solving methodology by using Q-tools such as 8D, Fault-Tree Analysis, Ishikawa
Able to perform basic laboratory testing related to electric motors and actuators
Proficient English language skills are mandatory (German language knowledge is considered a plus)
Highly team-oriented individual, capable of dealing with pressure and adversity
Proactive and organized person with high communication and problem-solving skills
Good time management and collaboration skills, coupled with a quality mindset
Ability to work collaboratively in a truly international and multicultural work environment
Willingness to travel, occasionally on short notice

Your responsibilities:
Business Development: Conduct market research to identify and target potential clients in the warehouse automation sector. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to penetrate new markets and establish a strong customer base.
Customer Engagement: Initiate contact with prospective customers and establish relationships through networking, cold outreach, and industry events. Qualify leads and conduct needs assessments to understand client requirements and pain points.
Technical Consultation: Provide technical expertise in warehouse automation products and solutions to clients and stakeholders. Assist customers in understanding the value proposition of our products and how they can optimize their operations.
Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations and demonstrations tailored to the specific needs of clients. Address any technical questions or concerns raised by potential customers.
Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sale while ensuring customer satisfaction. Close sales deals and achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Market Feedback: Gather feedback from clients to inform product development and marketing strategies. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to effectively position the product line.
Our requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minor in Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical sales or business development,specifically in warehouse automation, material handling, or related industries.
Fluency in German and English ; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
Proven track record of successfully hunting and acquiring new clients without pre-existing contacts.
Strong technical understanding of automation technologies, conveyors, sortation equipment and industrial systems.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated and results-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in software platforms: Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Salesforce.com.
Willingness to travel (up to 50% of the time) extensively across Europe as needed to meet clients.
Work Location:Remote - Preferably based in Germany, as the country represents a significant potential for the industry. However, we are also open to German-speaking candidates located in neighboring countries and open to frequent travelling.
