What You’ll Be Doing:
• Solve operational problems and seek continuous improvement opportunities
• Provide technical support for processes, products, and equipment
• Ensure smooth hand-offs between shifts for consistent communication
• Participate in QOS continuous improvement meetings
• Assist in training and development of new team members
• Engage in 5S activities for workplace organization and safety
• Comply with Johnson Electric PMDM Quality and EHS Policies (IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001)
• Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
Ontario Trade Certificate as a Tool & Die Maker
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing facility
Experience with powder metal tooling preferred
Reliable, mature individual with strong teamwork skills
Minimum 2 years of CNC Milling/Lathe experience
Experience using/programming with Heidenhain and/or MAZATROL controllers

As our next, you’ll be at the forefront of maintaining ISO/IATF 16949 systems related to tool inspection, set-up, and inventory control. Your expertise in CNC tooling, fixture management, and problem-solving will be essential to ensuring accurate tool operations and supporting production efficiency.
Why You’ll Love Working Here:• Complete all tool pre-setting accurately and on schedule
• Manage perishable tool inventory control, including inspection, logging, reporting, and offset tag changes
• Support supervisors, quality engineers, systems technicians, and production operators in tool set-up issue resolution
• Maintain organization and control of fixture wears and spares, including receiving and usage reporting
• Ensure compliance with Johnson Electric’s FPS Quality, Safety, and Environmental Systems
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager
• Technical degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience in CNC machining tool operation and set-up in a high-volume manufacturing environment, or equivalent internal certification training
• Certification in automotive systems and quality requirements (ISO/IATF 16949)
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels
• Advanced experience with CNC tooling and inventory systems
• Knowledge of fixture design and optimization
