What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Create and build strong relationships with employees through communications and performance feedback.
  • Assist with payroll processing for both hourly and salaried employees.
  • Participate in training initiatives, including updating the Training Matrix, identifying training gaps, and scheduling and tracking training hours.
  • Coordinate recruitment searches through approved processes, prescreen candidates, schedule interviews, participate in interviews, develop appropriate questions/testing, maintain applicant tracking system, and summarize interview ratings and recruitment summary reports.
  • Guide managers/supervisors through the recruitment process as required.
  • Create and maintain job descriptions for all hourly and salaried positions.
  • Attend weekly manning/training meetings and liaise with supervisors to identify staffing and training needs.
  • Coordinate temporary staffing needs with staffing agencies and review/submit hours worked for temporary employees.
  • Oversee the performance management process.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of various reports, lists, records, and documentation (e.g., monthly head counts, employee reports, agency head counts, and KPIs).
  • Create, maintain, organize, and file relevant HR documents.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives.
  • Work in compliance with JEC Plant 1’s Quality and EHS Policies and Procedures, including IATF 16949 / ISO 14001.
  • Perform other HR initiatives and projects as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Four-year degree, preferably in Human Resources or equivalenteducation/experience.
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) is an asset.
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant Human Resources, recruitment, and payroll experience.
  • Experience in a fast-paced and changing environment preferred.
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and responsiveness to customer needs.
  • Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
