Main duties:

A combination of project management, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills to ensure that electrical systems are installed, modified, and maintained effectively in both existing and new plant environments.
Review electrical designs and specifications to identify potential issues or improvements.
Collaborating with design teams and contractors to ensure the installation meets all regulatory requirements, specifications, and standards.
Supervising the installation of electrical systems and components, including power distribution, lighting, ELV and LV power, Lightning protection, Earthing installations, and control systems.
Conducting quality inspections and tests (FAT and SAT) to verify that installations are done correctly and meet performance criteria.
Commissioning new electrical systems and ensuring they are functioning correctly and integrated with other plant systems effectively.
Collaborating with engineers and other stakeholders to develop modification plans that comply with regulations and standards.
Overseeing the implementation of modifications, including coordinating with contractors and ensuring work is done according to specifications.
Documenting all modifications and ensuring that records are updated accurately.
Provide training to plant operators and maintenance staff on the new electrical systems and how to operate and maintain them safely.

Jacobs's role is The Client's Representative for contract supervision works. This role will be based on site, working alongside the Project Manager, Engineers, and Public Relations Officers managing stakeholders in the project; carrying out standing supervision of the works in progress on-site; and Supervising and verifying contractors’ CCTV video and inspection reports

As an integral member of our team, you will hone your skills in backend and frontend technologies to support aircraft specific solutions and integrate with flight hardware. Successful candidates will:

Contribute on a team of skilled engineers designing, building and maintaining thoroughly tested and stable software using a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE).
Perform technical tasks to include design-requirements, documentation, code and unit/integration test procedures.
Maintain a collaborative approach with Product Owners, Software Architects, DevOps, Security and UX engineers.
Be willing to share knowledge through proactive creation of wikis and documentation to help the team.
Participate in daily stand-ups providing status updates and raise any technical issues with the rest of the team.
Contribute to pull request reviews, system demos, planning meetings and retrospectives.
Be able to switch and work on different projects as customer and program goals evolve.
Ask smart questions, take risks, and champion new ideas
Use judgment and originality by interpreting data; planning the work; and refining the methods and techniques being used

Our Water business is currently hiring a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) Mechanical mainly focusing on supporting the overall engineering team working on the project extension of a water treatment plant located in Tanah Merah, Singapore, The role will oversee Mechanical works on engineering aspects, quality control and assurance matters for the construction of the respective facilities in the contracts under their care on the project using their experience and knowledge in the construction, inspection and quality assurance of Mechanical elements; supervise the contractors and maintain consistency across all the contracts and ensure that quality of all Mechanical works are in compliance with the specifications and applicable codes and regulations. The role will work closely with the Lead RE (Mechanical) and Engineering Manager to communicate with the Client and with 3rd Parties as required.

Supervise the execution of the construction works including temporary works for pipe laying, pipe jacking works and construction of chambers.
Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with drawings and specifications.
Monitor the Contractor’s progress and performance and maintain proper site records of the works.
Take photos of the worksite and update The Client with proper labels through email / WhatsApp on a daily basis.
Keep and maintain proper site records and documentation, e.g. attendance records of PM, RTO, STO, Professional Engineers and contractor’s site personnel.
Keep records of diary, record books, schedule of works, records of inspection/checklists and approvals for concreting, test records, test certificates.
