  • Ignite growth and opportunity, leveraging your strategic insight to secure new contracts through compelling proposals, engaging presentations, and effective negotiations, all founded on deep market understanding and client needs.
  • Contribute to the development of a Florida Market Action Plan that delivers leading-edge technology solutions for our clients while also actively diversifying and expanding our client base.
  • Demonstrate leadership by example with integrity and candor and by “living inclusion” in support of a work environment that celebrates inclusion and diversity (a culture we call TogetherBeyond℠).
  • Lead the development, maintenance, and advancement of your client's relationship. This will include developing the strategy of the account, help determine which opportunities to pursue, own the Go/No-Go process, and influence the win strategy.

Specific tasks will include

  • Lead a multiple-disciplinary team in delivering projects that exceed client expectations while managing the budget and meeting gross margin goals.
  • Driving growth with your client, working closely with the project team for overall client satisfaction from client relationship through final project delivery.
  • Leading key pursuit activities during opening, middle, and end game, working closely with sales operations.
  • Building relationships with your client through face-to-face meetings and participating in professional events.
  • Leading internal coordination through working directly with the sales team on overall client strategy, with Operations for project delivery, and coordination on pursuits with sales operations (cost, risk), and with legal regarding contracting.
  • Obtaining and distilling feedback and other indicators that may influence middle game actions.

BusConnects is a strategic national-level intervention for Ireland that will enhance sustainable transportation and the environment by upgrading walking, cycling and bus infrastructure in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, and Waterford. We have been appointed by the National Transport Authority (NTA) as their Client Partner to deliver Dublin’s BusConnects infrastructure. This will include providing programme management and multi-disciplinary expertise over a 10-year programme to deliver 12 schemes comprising 230 kilometres of continuous bus priority corridors and 200 kilometres of cycle paths and improved pedestrian facilities from procurement through to handover of this new infrastructure. The role would suit someone from a civil engineering background with specific experience on highways/roads

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support to clients by monitoring the performance of Design and Build Contractors.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent reporting of project performance.
  • Oversee the coordination and management of progress and performance reports for assigned schemes.
  • Facilitate performance reporting reviews and ensure alignment with site-level frameworks.
  • Develop and execute detailed financial and resource planning.
  • Manage day-to-day activities within the Performance and Reporting sub-functional area, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Your impact

As a FEMA Construction Manager, you’ll conduct preliminary damage assessments (PDAs) in the field with Federal, State and local officials. You’ll write Project Worksheets (PWs) for the purposes of determining project eligibility, scopes of work and estimating costs to repair or replace a facility or structure in order to restore it to its pre-disaster design. We’ll lean on you to provide technical, cost estimating, and disaster recovery and/or management services while supporting technical professionals. You’ll be a key member of the team in assisting project managers or engineers in major segments of moderate to complex projects or tasks, and independently conducting projects involving the design, development, construction or evaluation of restoring disaster locations. We’ll rely on your expertise in interpreting construction work to ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications as well as FEMA Public Assistance policy and procedure.

For our FEMA client, qualified candidates must be U.S. citizens, able to clear Department of Homeland Security background check for security clearance level of “Public Trust”, and open to working 8-12 hours per day for 5-6 days per week. You’ll potentially deploy to the field in remote disaster conditions, and most of the job responsibilities will be conducted in a FEMA office. Due to the nature of this type of unpredictable work, you must also have the ability to mobilize within 24-48 hours if ever needed to deploy, commit to up to 6 months or longer on a disaster deployment, and be flexible for contingent type of project work.

Please Note: This is an hourly paid position and is non-exempt.

As a Rail Engineering Manager, you will be accountable for the day-to-day engineering and technical delivery of work on specific projects. You will support the technical interface between the Project and the engineering disciplines, providing direction, guidance, and support as required.

Jacobs is looking for a Rail Engineering Manager who will undertake a key role in delivering our clients' requirements. This role offers a fantastic career opportunity while developing your skills and experience under the guidance and mentorship of our industry-recognised senior team.

Our Rail team provides comprehensive passenger and freight consultancy and engineering services to the rail sector, covering the full spectrum of railway infrastructure requirements. From business case and project development, preliminary appraisal, and feasibility studies through to detailed design, implementation, and operational management advice, we deliver excellence at every stage.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring a clear understanding of the project remit, defining the scope, and managing the budget for each activity carried out by each discipline. You will facilitate appropriate dialogue between disciplines and, where necessary, between different offices involved in the project. Additionally, you will monitor outputs from the disciplines to ensure they cover all aspects of the remit and are consistent with each other.

Some of the key responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Support the Project Manager: Control budgets for projects, including key milestones and targets related to time, cost, quality, and safety, ensuring objectives are achieved in line with programme plans.
  • Champion Jacobs Delivery Tools: Ensure consistent use of Jacobs delivery tools and processes, guaranteeing all parties have an agreed understanding of the project and their roles within it.
  • Foster Knowledge Sharing: Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing, demonstrating adaptability and commitment to supporting others in delivering high-quality service.
  • Leadership: Lead a diverse team, encouraging new ways of thinking to provide an agile delivery environment.
  • Implement Improvement Measures: Share good practices and implement improvement measures as applicable.
  • Monitor Delivery Commitments: Be aware of delivery commitments made by each project discipline, address delivery issues as necessary, and take appropriate action.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support for Business Development opportunities across Ireland.
  • Manage Interfaces: Oversee interfaces throughout the programme at tactical and programme levels, ensuring System Engineering requirements are applied to project delivery.
  • Author Engineering Management Plans: Develop and maintain engineering management plans.
