In this role, you will set clear technical direction and provide a strong role model regarding client focus and responsiveness and your solid client relationships will help to ensure we can identify and anticipate client needs. You will support the Rail and Transit Section to be engaged, resilient and adaptable, and inspire them to strive for innovation while maintaining outstanding project delivery, and responsible and proactive technical management. You will support the SESA team through delivery of projects across the various phases of its lifecycle and assist our client in achieving construction objectives though the post design phases of a project. You will ensure delivery complies with Safety Assurance and Systems Engineering principles. You will support projects within the ANZ region and lead the technical delivery using Jacobs staff and contractors alike.

About the opportunity

• Quantity taking off, framing of item description and cost estimates.
• Preparation of Rate analysis.
• Read & Understand clauses of contract.
• Checking & certifying contractor's bill, settlement of claims, cost control, cost monitoring & forecasting of cost.
• Perform discipline, project, ISO and administration tasks.
• Read AutoCAD and Model for taking measurements from same.
• Dealing with International codes & methods of measurements.
• Preparation of technical specification with guidance
• Co-ordinate among other disciplines.

As a key and integral part of our PMO/Project Management function you will bring your A game, skills, experience, and your commitment to best practice to our Cost Control, Change Control and Programme Control teams. In these newly created opportunities, your remit will include:

• Develop, implement, and manage the change control, programme control processes and frameworks.
• Provide input to and support the preparation of tender documents as required including the preparation of Bills of Quantities, Deliverables and Milestones.
• Ensure commercial due diligence for scope of works and projects during pre-construction and construction phases.
• Develop, implement, and own programme controls, processes, governance and improvement practices, across large Programmes and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Collaborate with Functional Leads, Project Managers and Contractors ensuring governance and compliance with the Change Management processes and documentation.
• Manage and Maintain a Change Log, managing the accurate capture, recording and governance of all changes, ensuring inputs are provided in a timely fashion.
• Support and manage Requests for Information, Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events.
• Act as a key interface between the Commercial, Project Team and Contractors in the day to day management of a defined portfolio of projects.

As a Principal Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in expanding our Geospatial Engineering expertise within the UK & Europe, Surveying and Reality Capture business. You will be responsible for organising and specifying survey requirements, maintaining client communications, and validating existing survey data.

As a Principal Surveyor, your key responsibilities for this role will include:

• Leadership of Surveying and Reality Capture capability in Ireland, and Northern Ireland
• Efficiently organize and specify survey requirements
• Maintain regular client communication
• Validate existing survey data
• Prepare and review survey specifications
• Plan and review fieldwork methodologies
• Understand grid systems, level datums, and accuracy requirements
• Advise project teams and clients on appropriate solutions
• Business development and maintain customer relationships
