• Leading the entire Electrical Engineering activities to carry out Electrical design work based on standard company procedure / other procedures, methods outlined.
• Timely completion of designs, requisitions and engineering deliverables.
• Technical guidance to Electrical Engineers and Designers to carry out design work as per the requirements of the Project.
• Adherence to Dept./Discipline Working Instructions and Quality Systems.
• Overview of work progress and work-hour usage and working within company budgets
• Meet client expectations and maintain long-term relationship with client. Attend to client’s feedback and any complaints
• Preparation of Basis of Design & power distribution for the plant.
• Preparation of design calculations for sizing the major electrical equipment. Familiar with ETAP calculations – for Load flow, short circuit, Harmonic study, arc flash study.
• Guiding a team of designers in 2D / 3D electrical engineering, review of 3D model and review of layouts / / MTOs extracted from the model
• Procurement activity for Electrical items covering preparation of enquiry specification, review of quotes and preparation of TR, preparation of order specifications
• Review of vendor drawings, review of electrical content for mechanical packages.
• Participate in discussions with the client, as necessary.
• Monitor that work and progress are in compliance with the project requirements and schedule.
• Maintain contact with other disciplines/groups to ensure:
• Project Manager and/or Engineer are aware of problems of progress delays.
• Proper interchange of information and documents
• Ensure that site problems viz. Technical Queries and Non-conformity Notices are dealt effectively and expeditiously and also ensure competent staffs are available for site trouble shooting as necessary.
• Attend Design Engineering Management Review Meetings.
• Knowledge of Electrical codes and standards is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Indian statutory requirements and documentation requirements for various approval for Consent to establish / Consent to operate F.
• Knowledge of 3D engineering, proficiency in review of 3D models using Navisworks is mandatory.
• Knowledge of SPEL, Integrated 3D Engineering using Smart Plant, system study on SKM power & EHV Design is an added advantage
• Knowledge of data center design is an added advantage.

As a, you’ll have responsibility to plan, staff, schedule, and budget projects while ensuring quality of work product, consistency across projects, and staff safety. You will also coordinate with subcontractors and multi-disciplinary team of engineers, planners, architects, scientists and subject matter experts to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions to our clients. In addition to managing the project financials, delivery, and client relationship, you will also have the opportunity to work closely with our Sales team to grow our Ports and Maritime portfolio in the region and beyond and getting engaged in the pursuit and delivery of exciting, complex waterfront projects. • Set up new projects, open and close time classes in company system (ORACLE), apply transaction controls, budget, payment terms and configure the contract in the Project Accounting System.

• Analyse and understand the contract terms & conditions and accordingly ensure that correct billing is done to the client for T&M and Fixed Price projects.

• Understand the impact of price escalation or change notices as per contract conditions and ensure that there is no loss of revenue for the company.

• Effectively communicate with Project Managers (PM) and Principals-in-Charge (PIC), regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services-related to billing.

• Have a good understanding of accounting standards for revenue recognition.

• Prepare final invoice package containing draft and final invoices for all billable projects, including all applicable backup for approval by the Accounting Supervisor.

• Ensure timelines for raising and submission of invoices to the clients.

• Research any unbilled issues to optimize the billing possibilities for the billing period.

• Maintain folders / files for all projects, with all the appropriate documents, including expenses, consultant invoices, and monthly invoices, in accordance with standard procedures.

• Work with the Accounts Receivable team member to reconcile variances that occur in the application of cash.

• Work with Accounts Payable team members where certain expenses are billable to clients at actuals.

• Generate and distribute profitability reports.

• Review weekly time sheets and monthly analyse the profitability of Project, Performance Unit or other parameters as assigned.

• Provide year-end support of auditor requirements, which includes front facing them on their queries & making sure matters of significance are reported & escalated to the PA Supervisor

• Perform additional assignments, as directed by the Accounting Supervisor.

• Communicate and coordinate with all Jacobs offices

Responsibilities

Follows company policies, procedures, and US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), statutory requirements and SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) controls.

Maintains project setup and project close in appropriate manner to ensure completeness and accuracy of project’s evidence.

Prepares client invoices in accordance with the contract terms.

Provides month-end reporting on project performance including gross margin variances and all other financial aspects, prepares specialized reports and accounting data analysis.

Monitors project balances on Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Unbilled and Unearned items, DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).

Prepares various journal entries such as: revenue adjustments, cost accruals, provision for loss.

Liaises with other departments, clients and outside vendors to resolve cross-functional matters.

Ensures that all deadlines are met.

Participates in internal and external audits.

Prepares project specific analysis and ad hoc reporting.

Interprets accounting data, reviews reports and recommends action to be taken.

Solves a range of straightforward and medium complex problems.

Proposes process and system improvements.

May be requested to provide on-the-job training to new joiners.

Provides work guidance and support to co-workers.

Responsibilities:

• Payroll Processing – processing new hires, employee changes, terminations, processing hours and pay for all employees, completing appropriate documentation and checklists accurately and timely.

• Payroll Audits – finalize and balance payroll totals using internal tools, perform all necessary reviews and audits to reports produced by outsourced vendors, such us Gross to Net, payment reports, etc.

• Internal Payroll Audits – gather payroll data for internal and client audits.

• Reporting – run payroll related reports to support the needs of departments and customers.

• Customer Service – provide a consistently high-level of customer service and manage escalated cases and service requests within the SLA requirements. Partner with HR/Accounting/Benefits & Compensation/Tax Department and managers/supervisors to ensure that a strong business relationship is maintained.

• Process Documentation/Training – create/update process documentation to include work instructions and process flows. Assess current processes to streamline and gain efficiencies.

• Knowledge – knowledge of end-to-end transactions, including highly technical and complex payrolls. Research and find creative solutions to solve payroll issues in an increasingly changing environment.
