Your Key Responsibilities:

    • Partnering with our operations, sales and market solutions leaders at a local, geographic and regional scale to develop unique and valued client propositions.
    • Leading and/or producing high quality thought leadership content and using unique insights to engage our clients.
    • Being highly influential in the winning of our most important opportunities and ensuring appropriate engagement and collaboration across our Market Solutions/Subject Matter Experts.
    • Stewardship of technical solutions and driving innovation on our projects, actively involved in quality and risk management, leveraging expertise to ensure efficiency of delivery.
  • Deliver bridge and transportation structures projects as a Senior Technical Leader and Project Manager.
  • Lead technical teams in developing solutions to complex bridge design projects, requiring a high degree of innovation and ingenuity.
  • Provide technical expertise by formulating and developing advance design concepts, techniques, and standards.
  • Secure and strengthen long term client partnerships and drive near to long term growth in the bridge and transportation structures portfolio, through:
  • Partnering with our operations, sales and market solutions leaders at a local, geographic and regional scale to develop unique and valued client propositions.
  • Leading and/or producing high quality thought leadership content and using unique insights to engage our clients.

When it comes to environmental consulting, we’re focused on cleaning up our communities today to improve tomorrow. We’re seeking an intermediate Professional Geoscientist or Professional Engineer to support brownfield re-development projects, implementing characterization and remediation solution services for industrial and government clients. You’ll apply your technical experience in environmental characterization and remediation to plan and execute tasks while championing safety and quality.

The preferred candidate will be based in Calgary or Edmonton with the flexibility to work independently at home or in teams at the office. You’ll aid in the planning and execution of field investigation activities, interpretation of data, and preparation of Phase I & II reports, conceptual site models, and other technical reports. You will support execution of the project including subcontractor procurement and oversight, environmental sample collection (such as soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and soil vapour), and reporting. You’ll be supported by a diverse group of industry leading technical experts available through our multiple communities of practice. You’ll drive innovation and promote the use of digital tools and electronic data capture. You’ll build strong relationships with our clients and work with client account managers to position and win new work. You’ll demonstrate continuous alignment to Jacobs core values to achieve our clients’ goals.

Your impact

When it comes to environmental consulting, we’re helping our clients protect our world’s natural resources. As a reclamation specialist, you will provide technical leadership and support on various projects throughout western Canada. Based out of Calgary, Edmonton, or a home office in Alberta or Saskatchewan with access to a major airport, you’ll work as part of our reclamation team to contribute to the environmental planning and permitting efforts of privately-owned infrastructure projects. We’ll rely on you to lead and mentor field crews and provide support on critical projects while fostering a culture of continuous learning as you bring fresh ideas to the table.  You’ll have the opportunity to work as part of multi-disciplinary project teams associated with our Western Canada Offices to lead a variety of reclamation-based field projects that may include a combination of vegetation, soil, and landscape assessments. You will support field data collection efforts, regulatory applications, and assist with the development of technical reports to company and industry standards. This position will start late in the spring with an anticipated 80% of fieldwork and 20% office work. A successful offer will be full-time or a 12-month contract depending on workload and/or skillset. Contracts have the potential of extension or conversion to full-time.
