  • Issue and Action Management

    • Provide oversight reporting on open issues for senior management and risk committees as appropriate.
  • Governance & Reporting
    • Contribute to the preparation of materials for risk committees, executive leadership, and Board reporting.

    • Support policy and framework updates as needed. This will include policy and procedure creation and update as well as collaboration with other departments on ERM and other policies and procedures.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Technology Management or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise risk management, internal audit, compliance, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience creating and managing risk indicators and conducting enterprise risk assessments.
  • Experience creating complex analytics using coding, scripting, querying, dashboard technologies, and setting up supporting infrastructure components such as SQL servers. Python, R, VBA, Java Script, or Tableau scripting experience highly desired.
  • Experience managing issue remediation processes, particularly in support of enterprise risk and control remediation efforts.

Job Purpose

The New York Stock Exchange (an Intercontinental Exchange company) is seeking a data scientist to serve as an expert member of NYSE Regulation (“NYSER”). The individual who fills this role will work closely with the other members of the NYSER data scientist team. The primary responsibilities of the individual in this position will be to:

  1. implement a comprehensive approach to the use and maintenance of data, technology, artificial intelligence (“AI”), specifically focusing on machine learning (“ML”) and Large Language Models (“LLM”) for regulatory purposes;
  2. design analytical and econometric models of trading activity (including with respect to digital assets and blockchain data) and provide direct data analytics and AI support to groups across the NYSER program, including to NYSER Surveillance & Investigations, NYSER Enforcement, and NYSER Issuer Regulation; and
  3. provide thought leadership on how to strategically enhance NYSER’s data and regulatory technology program, including by leveraging various data sources and by implementing AI and ML across platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the data and AI/ML expert for NYSER
  • Explore predictive modeling, ML, LLMs and advanced statistical methods and integrate that technology into NYSER’s program
  • Analyze trading data to identify, develop and investigate enforcement cases, and distill the analyses into easily understood visual representations for non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other subject matter experts to define requirements and specifications for new surveillance patterns and enhancements to existing surveillances

Job Purpose

The Senior Compliance Analyst (“SCA”) is responsible for assisting in verifying that ICE Data Pricing and Reference Data, LLC (“PRD”), an SEC Registered Investment Adviser, meets its regulatory requirements. The SCA will support the Chief Compliance Officer in the design, development and execution of a risk-based compliance Program.   • Demonstrated ability to work independently in project management and decision making.
  • Able to effectively communicate his/her ideas and to manage programmers in a constructive manner.
  • Ability to use SAS to perform efficacy analyses and validate important data derivations when necessary.
  • Previous experience in dealing with Health authorities such as discussions/negotiations in filing strategies are highly desirable.
