Job Purpose

The Associate Product Associate will be supporting the global Product team in charge of the suite of IGN solutions. The Associate Product Associate will be exposed to every stage of the product life cycle (market analysis, business case, Go-To-Market plan, business-as-usual activity, market/industry monitoring, innovation, etc.) and will have the opportunity to work on the wider range of IGN products and underlying technologies. The Associate Product Associate will work closely with both internal teams (engineering, billing, reporting, …) and external parties (customers, vendors).

Responsibilities

  • Develop a solid understanding of the financial markets and electronic trading ecosystem, of the trading infrastructures and the ICE Global Network offerings
  • Support the Product team by taking ownership of operational tasks essential to manage the day-to-day business
    • Review vendors billing, reconcile and approve
    • Build reports using internal tools and contribute to the analysis of the data
    • Coordinate external notifications to customers for relevant product updates
  • Analyze and reconcile customers billing at the macro level. Identify issues (macro/micro) and work on plan of actions and correction.
  • Maintain and update internal and external documentation by working with the Product team, Legal and Marketing
  • Build ad-hoc analyses and reports to identify trends/issues, and post-mortems following new product launches or new initiatives
  • Ensure the consistency of the internal product documentation and update/revise when needed (pricing, list of products, etc.)
  • Project manage ad-hoc initiatives, collaborate with internal teams and partners, track and report on progress, identify risks, escalate issues

Knowledge and Experience

  • University degree, preferably in technology, engineering, or business
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proactive, problem-solver, agile and keen on working in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills, comfortable to engage and interact with multiple teams within and outside of the organization
  • Interested in technologies and IT infrastructures (data center, network, telecommunications, Cloud-based NaaS)
  • Interested in financial markets and electronic trading
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel

Job Purpose

ICE is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our Reference Data Product Development team. You will be part of the Products team but will work closely with IT, Operations and the Business. The Senior Product Manager will perform a wide range of responsibilities pertaining to the productization of new Reference Data content. This position will rely on excellent technical writing skills primarily to write detailed technical requirements and product documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Well versed in business requirements writing. Requires extensive knowledge of all areas of the business including but not limited to content, development, product design, workflow, billing, and configuration.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of reference data and how and where internally and externally that data is sourced, stored, and output in product.
  • Must be well versed in industry and company focused initiatives, and understand how that content could be utilized within reference data products.
  • Serve as an ally to our Sales team - understand client use case, how data will be used, understand potential roadblocks or gaps, and resolve to get them filled.
  • Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and help recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
  • Work alongside Senior stakeholders, Business Development and Product Management to translate their vision into documents and wireframes.
  • Liaise with stakeholders in managing, defining, prioritizing, planning, and executing the vision for our applications targeting our core Data Services customers.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for internal business partners in the assigned product space.
  • Recommend improvements and new features for existing products.
  • Design and build new products from the ground up.
  • Define requirements to ingest third-party data feeds to be incorporated in product.
  • Present to internal stakeholders (Project Ideas, Business Requirements, Product Launch documents within the Product Committee)
  • Work closely with new colleagues on company acquisition-related integration activities.
  • Prepare product methodologies, training guides, release notes, and perform training for users.
  • Liaise with Technology and QA teams to deliver new features and resolve issues.
  • Perform UAT on new functionality or datasets.
  • Identify and communicate project risks and issues.
  • Collaborate with target market representatives, customers, and partners to create powerful and compelling solutions for the marketplace.
  • This position is equal parts internally focused working with a cross functional departments and outwardly focused securing new sales revenue of $25 million annually

Knowledge and Experience

  • Extensive data analysis, data mapping, functional and technical business analysis experience working in the financial services industry.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - solid hands-on experience of functional analysis, with extensive experience translating business requirements into functional, design and test documentation.
  • Strong communication skills - ability to work with the client/user community to translate their requirements, however expressed, into development materials and conversely present development materials to client/users in a comprehensible way.
  • Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work with technical teams (QA and Development) as well as sales and end users.
  • A working knowledge, and ideally hands on experience, of the development life cycle, covering basic design, testing cycles from unit to acceptance testing, implementation, and post release bug/issue fixes.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data querying and analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, functions such as VLOOKUP).
  • Data Modeling experience with the ability to understand data entities, attributes, and the relationship between.
  • Familiarity with a range of product interfaces (XML/JSON Files, APIs, Front-End Viewers)
  • Proven track record of problem solving and solution building.
  • Energetic, motivated, with a strong work ethic, willing to take on challenging tasks.

You will act as a primary escalation point for internal production support queries and will work closely with service delivery, systems operations and account management teams.     • Resolution: Consistently and correctly prioritize and resolve issues independently, with minimal supervision
    • Documentation: Clearly track/update cases with detailed statuses and resolutions; maintain knowledge store of common issues/solutions/troubleshooting steps, etc.
  • Process Improvements: Review internal process improvements for inter-team collaboration efficiency, and produce tools for troubleshooting using Java, SQL, Excel, VBA

Knowledge and Experience

  • 5+ years relevant industry experience
  • Rigorous troubleshooting techniques plus the willingness to convey technical details clearly and politely
  • Excellent communication skills; good written English and demonstrable experience in writing clear/concise documentation
  • Ability to independently learn nuances of a complex, multifaceted system with minimal supervision
  • Effective use SQL as an analytical tool
  • Work experience in a Software Development role is preferred, especially developing large scale enterprise applications using Java
  • Experience in modern messaging protocols such as IBM MQ, JMS, Kafka, etc. is preferred
  • Experience using database development concepts (SQL, PL/SQL, views, etc.) is preferred
