Expansion Sales Account Executive (Expansion SAE)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This role is a quota-carrying expansion or incremental sales position.
  • Meet and exceed expansion sales goals (quotas) through analyzing consumption metrics, prospecting, qualifying, managing, and closing sales opportunities end to end within the assigned accounts/territory.
  • Expands sales within existing accounts while getting connected and building strategic relationships with key decision-makers.
  • At this level, incumbents will have expert-level knowledge of selling the company’s CFCN products and services.
  • Manage and track customer and transactional information in a Salesforce CPQ CRM system with high accuracy.
  • Provide regular and accurate reporting of pipeline and forecast through the CRM system.
  • Accountable for accurate forecasting, regular quarterly revenue delivery, and the implementation of agreed account-level expansion plans.
  • Provides customer feedback to internal stakeholders for product, systems, and process improvements.
  • Nurture and expand the company’s relationship with customer accounts of various sizes. As it’s a consumption-based sale, assigned accounts may be high in volume or larger and of the most complex nature. Hence assigned quota will vary.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Holds expert-level experience and uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Deep industry knowledge and understanding of a customer’s decision-making process, goals, strategies, and business objectives.
  • Expert-level presentation, financial/business acumen, and negotiation skills at all levels of customer engagement.
  • Knowledge of the enterprise cloud platforms, SaaS, PaaS, and SaaS contracts
  • Full functional knowledge of the deployment of software solutions and how consumption metrics drive expansion
  • Maintain an understanding of Informatica’s subscription and Consumption pricing models to provide customers assistance in the usage/use case-based expansion discussions.
  • Negotiate all facets of renewal contracts, Adoption, and consumption metrics to develop win/win negotiation strategies that maximize contract value while enhancing the customer relationship.
  • Complete, “big-picture” understanding of the business and technical contexts of key accounts to drive departmental use case sales to enterprise-wide expansion sales.
  • Fully adept at consultative effectiveness and establishing trust with internal and external customers.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of field sales experience in the SaaS space.
  • Experience within data management software selling.
  • A clear track record of success in expanding SaaS subscriptions, demonstrated by overachievement of quota ($1M+ of ARR) and a very strong customer reference
  • BA/BS or equivalent educational background, we will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Expands sales within existing and/or new accounts while building relationships with key decision makers.
  • Develops and executes a strategic and comprehensive business plan for each account, including identifying core customer requirements and mapping the benefits of Informatica’s solutions to customer business requirements.
  • Timely documentation within CRM / Marketing software of customer contact and activity data is required of this role (e.g. names, titles, contact information, opportunity value, product information, sales stages, probability, business pain, firm-future commitments, etc.).
  • Accountable for accurate forecasting, regular quarterly revenue delivery, and the implementation of agreed account and business plans.
  • Collaborates with Marketing to develop an effective plan for the accounts, to include events, seminars, and roadmap sessions.
  • Promotes Informatica’s products, maximizes brand recognition and mindshare at all levels, and publicizes success stories.
  • Provides customer feedback to internal stakeholders for product, systems, and process improvements.
  • At this level, incumbents will have expert-level knowledge of selling the company’s products and services.
  • Assigned accounts are larger and of the most complex nature, where assigned quota is typically higher than lesser-scoped portfolio sales role levels. (Size of quota may be relative to complexity and nature of account set.)
  • Incumbents routinely sell-to and interact with executive-level customer decision makers, to include up to CXO levels.

Senior Solution Architect – Global Partner Technical Sales (GPTS)

You will report to the Director, Global Technical Sales Channels (GPTS).

Informatica, part of the Global Presales organization, is a global function of solution-oriented trusted advisors chartered to drive growth and mutual success through our Partners. As a key member of this organization, you will drive partner awareness and work side by side with our strategic partners on joint accounts. Your role will involve steering the technical sales cycle, advancing deal progression, and cultivating customer trust.

Additionally, you will also prioritize the customer's long-term objectives by laying the essential groundwork for successful project implementations, leveraging the exceptional delivery capabilities offered through our network of strategic partners. Within our technical sales community you will be an active, constant learner and ready to share what you learn with our community of trusted partners. You will position Informatica value proposition and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment and consumption in the cloud.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Hands on experience of Data Management and/or Data Governance concepts. Master Data Management background is also nice to have.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Cloud computing security aspects.
  • Expert storytelling and presentation skills across multiple horizontal and vertically specific use cases in front of all levels of technical and business stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish (nice to have).
  • Intermediate or Advanced skills on Informatica services and product capabilities or other similar technologies.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of hybrid deployment of software solutions, Data Warehousing, Database, and/or Business Intelligence software concepts and products.
  • Basic certification on at least 1 Cloud Ecosystem (ex. AWS, Azure, GCP) and 1 data related cloud technology.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build relationships, promote and work with our partners to find and realize opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver creative solution presentations or technical proposals.
  • Manage customer & partner engagements independently.
  • Stay current on certification of services related to area of focus.
  • Ability to create and present new customer demos for new use cases.
  • Ability to present and deliver demos at marketing, customer or partner events independently.
  • Facilitate workshops for partners and customers that highlight Informatica's unique advantages, core selling points, industry-specific applications, and in-depth technical details.
  • Help our partners qualify technical requirements coming from customers and prospects.
  • Ability to respond to RFIs or RFPs, build advanced demos and work on POC.
  • Work as part of a virtual global team in delivering a technical proposal and assisting strategic partnerships.
  • Understand and translate technical and business challenges and concerns into a solution discussion.

Education/Experience

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in data management, MDM, or Data Governance.
  • 7 years of prior presales/technical sales or consulting experience.
  • BA/BS or equivalent educational background is preferred.
