·Develop and execute a territory business plan to achieve or exceed sales goals.

·Educate healthcare professionals on the clinical benefits and appropriate use of our immunology/rare disease product(s).

·Identify, target, and engage key stakeholders including specialists, hospitals, infusion centers, and patient advocacy groups.

·Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Patient Services teams to support patient access and education.

·Maintain deep knowledge of disease state, product, competitive landscape, and evolving treatment guidelines.

·Ensure all activities are conducted within compliance guidelines and company policies.

Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred; life sciences or related field preferred.

·Advanced clinical degree such as PharmD, PA, or NP is a plus.

·3+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or specialty sales experience; experience in immunology, rare disease, or specialty biologics strongly preferred.

·Strong clinical acumen with the ability to discuss complex scientific information.

·Proven success in a complex selling environment and ability to navigate matrixed organizations.

·Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

·Willingness to travel within the territory as needed.

Preferred Skills:

·Previous experience launching a new rare disease product or indication.

·Strong understanding of patient access and reimbursement pathways.

·Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce) and digital sales platforms.

·Experience working with patient advocacy organizations.

·Ability to interpret and communicate scientific data to both clinical and non-clinical audiences.

  • Develop KEE (key external expert) strategy.
  • Incorporate customer insights into programs and materials.
  • Coordinate/Lead cross-functional team of Sales and other key functional areas including Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, and Legal/Compliance.
  • Manage external agencies to develop and implement promotional programs and materials.
  • Work closely with key hematology/oncology stakeholders including nurses, hospitals, office staff ,and professional societies.
  • Develop/conduct external communication plans to increase company presence as well as disease awareness leveraging external vendors.
  • Perform all company business in accordance with regulations and company policies and procedures.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced business degree strongly preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years pharmaceutical commercial brand leadership
  • At least 5 years pharmaceutical / consulting/ digital life science industry experience
  • Experience and knowledge of oncology/hematology products is preferred
  • Product launch experience is a plus

Language Proficiency

  • Fluency in Japanese and English

Job Summary (Primary function)
Incyte Biosciences Japan GK (INCYJP) presently an expanding development stage organization, positioned to move to commercialization stage upon successful completion of clinical development projects with lead products in oncology and potentially even non-oncology indications. The Strategic Liaison (SL), will have a pivotal responsibility to support INCYJP's preparation for the commercial launch as dual function of MR and area sales leader for in-line products and to ensure quick account opening and appropriate product use after the launch in the Japanese organization. As such this important position will be responsible to develop responsible area strategy and account opening plan working with the internal stakeholders. Also, he or she will communicate internal/external pharmacists and wholesalers for sustainable distribution of products to hospitals.
INCYJP is a start-up organization requiring high agility, self-motivated and true generalist approach. This particular position will have to ensure sales force excellence while directly reporting to Sales Director in the organization.

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)

  • Act within compliance and legal requirements as well as within company guidelines.

  • Challenge innovative approaches to customers with digital and out of box ideas.
  • Responsible for attracting diverse external talents to develop a high-performing and inclusive sales team.
  • Communicate with internal and external pharmacists and wholesalers to ensure sustainable distribution of products to hospitals.
  • The strategic liaison leader will also manage team members and provide appropriate coaching as a supportive manager.
  • Support product strategy team to develop short term and long term product strategy by giving customer insights.
  • Ensure full utilization of CRM system efficiently.
  • Conduct explanatory meetings and local symposia using a dual approach (in-person and virtual formats).
  • Ensure appropriate use of new product by providing relevant information while interacting with healthcare professionals (HCPs).
  • Dual function of Market Research and area sales leader by developing and executing area strategy and account open plans for new product launch. Gather and analyze relevant information and data to lead the development of area strategy and account planning.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)

  • Discover – Develop – Deliver – Collaborate
  • Experience and/or knowledge of oncology/orphan drug is valued, but not required.
  • Experience in managing teams or leading projects is preferred, regardless of specific job titles.
  • Relevant experience in pharmaceutical sales or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong data and application analytical skills.
  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required. Advanced business knowledge or experience is strongly preferred.
  • High level of initiative, adaptability, and motivation.
  • Demonstrated strong communication and creative solution skills. Ability to work with multiple functions in a complex environment. Proficiency in both Japanese and English is preferred, but not required, to encourage a diverse range of applicants.
  • Experience with product launches is beneficial, but not required.

·Assists in the review, development and writing of clinical trial documents and manuals, including but not limited to study manuals, laboratory or biomarker plans, and other supporting documents.

·Create Master ICF template and review/approve site changes (in consultation with legal, safety when warranted). Update template for new risks and new amendments information.

·Participate in the feasibility and evaluation of investigative sites; working closing with the Clinical Trial Logistics group.

·Coordinate and monitor activities at investigational sites; review monitoring trip reports and support the US monitoring organization.

·Assist in the development and management of study timelines and priorities, including recruitment tools/strategy and patient retentions plan.

·Plan and organize meetings with team support (eg. investigator/coordinator meetings, DMC, SMC, safety call, etc.).

·Assist in the development of the IP and co-medication strategy (Quantities, labels, depots, tracking, etc.) working closely with other departments.

·Participate in data review and discrepancy resolution.

·Participate in coordinating efforts with internal Pharmacovigilance, and safety group.

·Monitor study-specific timelines and key deliverables; focus on management of all external vendors (e.g Monitoring, Sample management, IVRS, Laboratory, etc).

·Participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary trial(s) team.

·Develop relationships with investigational sites and institutions to enhance conduct of the trial.

·Minimum of five years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry or other relevant clinical research experience.
