. Drives end-to-end TLS renewal and expansion for all Technology Lifecycle Services for Select.
. Drives end-to-end TLS renewal and basic expansion for Strategic and Signature accounts. New Opportunities and large expansion requires Field Sales support.
. Supports territory strategy and planning and contributes to the account planning process for assigned accounts


. Manages Technology Lifecycle Services pipeline across the portfolio • Opportunity identification for uplift / expansion and winback.
. Partners with extended IBM teams including Brand Sales Specialist, Deal Makers, Ecosystem Sales Specialist, Customer Success Managers, for client conversations
. Leverages a variety of sales tactics and tools when engaging with existing and new clients.
. Responsible for overall execution and closure of TLS Renewals


Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise

- Leadership and communication skills to foster strong partnerships

- Identification of upsell/cross-sell opportunities

- Manage the pipeline by consistently and accurately forecasting using the Technology Sales CRM system

- Proficient in objection handling, negotiation techniques, pricing and delegation.

Preferred technical and professional experience

- At least 5 years of working experience in IT infrastructure services sales.

Description:
Your role and responsibilities

As a Z Hardware Brand Technical Specialist (BTS), you will have extensive technical knowledge to sell Business Unit Technology solutions to clients in order to remove all technical inhibitors to sales opportunities.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • · Support IBM Z customers to realise the value of the IBM Z platform
  • · Work closely with customer technical staff and develop relationships as trusted advisor and subject matter expert
  • · Identify and take responsibility for brand technical opportunities
  • · Work closely with IBM Z brand hardware seller to create viable solution designs, and develop attractive proposals
  • · Work with Account Executives to promote the profile of the IBM Z brand
  • · Provide pre-sales and post-sales support to customers to deploy new solutions
  • · Support marketing activities such as IBM Think, TechXchange, Z Forum
  • · Collaborate with the direct IBM systems team and the broader IBM business
  • · Where appropriate, mentor newer members of the team
  • · Respond to RFQ’s, RFI’s and RFP’s
  • · Follow the IBM quality assurance processes and perform technical reviews of proposals
  • · Continually update skills and knowledge through education and research
  • · Create and deliver technical presentations including demonstrations, POCs, Customer Education, and Workshops.
  • Ability to value sell the technology in a compelling way to teach and challenge clients with a confident and opinionated point of view.
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
  • Strong Hardware technical background and with a high level of understanding of Linux
  • IBM Linux or Appliance technical knowledge and experience
  • Business Resiliency technologies such as Parallel Sysplex
  • Storage High Availability and Mirroring technologies
  • Performance and Capacity planning
  • Ability to identify, create and progress new opportunities
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Software technical background including basic knowledge of understanding and utilizing open source software
Preferred technical and professional experience

· IBM Z technical skills and with some knowledge of:

o Hypervisors such as z/VM & KVM

o Network implementation

o Enterprise Storage

o Enterprise Security

o High Availability, DR, GDPS
