Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate contract terms – Negotiates the “legal” terms within supplier agreements and advises the Sourcing professional with respect to negotiating the “business” terms.
  • Draft simple and complex sourcing documents to include: supplier agreements, amendments, letters, clauses, etc. within the parameters of authority granted by the Legal Dept.
  • Provide independent analysis to the Sourcing team as to the interpretation of contract clauses and potential avenues to pursue in negotiating defensive and offensive contract claims.
  • Execute business objectives associated with risk management and the protection of Honeywell during contract, settlement, dispute, and other negotiations with the Honeywell suppliers.
  • Enable continuous improvement.
  • Maximize financial targets by ensuring that contracts and other agreements are negotiated within the parameters established by the Honeywell Legal Dept and the individual Honeywell businesses.
  • Lead initiatives, as required, to enhance the business and process capabilities of the Procurement Contracts Center of Excellence
  • Mentor others, to include junior members of the team and Sourcing customers with respect to proper contract negotiation and administration principles. Ensure provision of top-class service and high customer satisfaction
  • Work with the Sourcing and Business teams to resolve high-level disputes between Honeywell and Honeywell suppliers by providing interpretation of contract clauses, reviewing contract documents, providing potential strategies, etc.

We are seeking someone who brings the right experience leading avionics-based product designs within the Anthem / Thunderbolt Team. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs while acting as a mentor to more junior engineers. RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Supports Product / Module development assignments, including supporting system trades, creating requirements, completing design, analysis, and testing in an engineering laboratory setting.
  2. Collaborates with a global, multi-disciplinary team of systems, software, programable logic, and mechanical engineers.

Product Assurance and Certification (PAAC) has an immediate opening for a
Lead Project Engineer(PE) for Avionics programs. This position will be the program regulatory and quality interface and single point of accountability for Avionics development projects.

The Lead PAAC PE is responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical success for Product Assurance and Certification aspects of assigned Honeywell Aerospace TSO, TC, PMA, STC and military programs, including achievement of all applicable regulatory and quality requirements, and PAAC cost objectives and schedule milestones.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and manage detailed PAAC project plans, schedules, and budgets in concert with development program objectives
  • Estimate PAAC effort, cost and schedule requirements for proposed projects
  • Coordinate global PAAC resource assignments to meet project needs
  • Single point of contact for PAAC with internal and external customers for all program issues
  • Responsible for regular program tracking and reporting, including activity-based management (ABM) processes.
  • Create and present program reviews and other presentations as required
  • Responsible for establishing and meeting program cost and schedule requirements (CPI & SPI)
  • Act as a liaison and coordinator between customers, engineering, and other functional groups such as businesses, PP&C, manufacturing, quality, procurement, etc.
  • Ensures project compliance to required Aero development processes, as well as advocates use of current, efficient Certification and Product Development Quality Assurance (PDQA) tools and methods
  • Support of Project Engineering Council
  • Travel as required to coordinate and conduct program activities and resolve problems
  • Ensure product satisfies airworthiness regulations and other applicable certification requirements and Honeywell development process requirements
  • Provide leadership for all programmatic aspects of PAAC business and strategies
